What World Do They Live In....?

I read with interest a couple of statements made recently by Hillary Clinton. One was about how she and President Obama "restored America's leadership in the world," and the other was about Benghazi being the reason she should run for President.

I'm not sure what planet she lives on but it seems she shares it with some other fairly prominent Democrats. President Obama has a way of ignoring facts (and video evidence) and changing his story to meet his political goals.

In her new book Mrs. Clinton says “In many areas he (the President) and I worked together and I think we saw positive results. I’m very proud of what we did during the time I was there,” she said. “I think we restored America's leadership at a time when it was in quite dire straights.”

I would certainly like her to name even one area where she and Obama restored America's leadership. She can't even name anything she accomplished as Secretary of State. (And neither can anyone else.)

The former Secretary of State told ABC's Diane Sawyer she views the continuing controversy as a diversion from the work Congress should be doing.

"Actually, it's more of a reason to run, because I do not believe our great country should be playing minor-league ball. We ought to be in the majors," Clinton said in a portion of the interview.

Mrs. Clinton is now trying to spin the Benghazi story to make it look like she had some sort of positive role in the incident and that what she learned from it will help her be a better leader of America. Regardless of the lies she tells in her book about beefing up security for the late Ambassador Stevens, they're still lies. And the evidence uncovered by Congressional investigators prove it.

It's a known fact that if you begin spinning a lie early enough, by voting time many will believe it. I really hope she uses her role in the Benghazi incident as a campaign issue. I do. I just hope the Republican candidate has the courage to shove it in her face.

It seems to be an epidemic in the Democrat party to say something on television then, a few weeks later (or years in the case of Obamacare) when it becomes a problem, to deny ever saying it.

With Obama it started during his campaign when he said he'd visited all 57 states. Not that it was a serious mistake - I believe he was tired and just made a silly error in what he said. But his campaign and his followers denied he even said it - despite the video evidence!

Obama promised for several years that people would be allowed to keep their doctors and their health care plans under Obamacare. Period. He underscored it nearly every time. Then, when people began losing their health care plans and some doctors and hospitals refused to accept Obamacare plans for coverage, the President came out and did his little song and dance - once again in spite of three years of video evidence.

"Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed," the President said at a meeting of "Organizing For Action." Only that's not what he said. He flat out lied about keeping your coverage then he lied again concerning what he said about it.

Politico.com calls the Obamacare lie the "Lie of the Year" but I believe otherwise. I think the lie of the year was Obama and Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Jay Carney perpetuating the ridiculous lie about the spontaneous attack on the Consulate in Benghazi being brought about by a video. Even after it had been thoroughly debunked they continued to try to convince the American people it was true. It got to the point where even the networks in the Obama camp couldn't believe they were still trying to peddle it.

When Mrs. Clinton stood beside that grieving mother waiting for the return of her son's body and told her they would find the man who made the video she should have been struck by lightning at that very moment. To tell a grieving parent an intentional lie that in reality has nothing to do with the reason her son died is plain evil. But most of us know that Hillary is evil in the flesh. Along with Obama.

Jay Carney, one of the countries highest paid liars, has recently resigned from the Obama administration stating he wants to spend more time with his family. I'd like to think he simply got tired of lying for a living but I doubt that's the truth. I've been wondering who might replace him and from my perspective they've got Jay Carney reincarnated in State Department spokesperson Marie Harf. Watching her degrade the soldiers that served with Bowe Bergdahl was reminiscent of watching Carney degrade anyone who disagrees with the President.

I know that nearly all politicians spin the truth at one time or another. If you don't, if you're someone like Ted Cruz, who makes promises to his constituents and then goes to Washington and keeps them, the Washington establishment turns on you. They can't have honest and trustworthy people there making them all look bad. They'll do their best to take you down.

I do believe the Democrats have the larger share of blatant liars. Let's take a look...  Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, Susan Rice, Jay Carney, Marie Harf, Lois Lerner... just to name some who have been in the news lately. That's a Who's Who list of liars the Democrats have on their team right now. I know there are others. Please feel free to add to the list.

At this point in history it seems the Democrats are the biggest liars in Washington. That could certainly change as time goes by - we all know how politicians operate. But to blatantly lie about something when there is video evidence to prove the opposite is either bold or stupid. But what's worse is the people who believe the lies. It seems their motto is "Believe whatever they say last."
