How Much More Will Americans Tolerate??

Friday, June 13, 2014, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) announced that the Internal Revenue Service reports they have "lost" any and all e-mails between Lois Lerner and outside agencies and/or groups between January 2009 and April 2011. They say this loss is due to a computer crash. The IRS says the only e-mails they currently have belonging to Lois Lerner are e-mails sent inside the agency between her and other employees.

So without getting into the absurdity of the IRS saying they lost Lois Lerner's e-mails to outside agencies (such as Representative Elijah Cummings (D-MD)) I have to ask why they lost only some of her e-mails. Why would they have internal e-mails and not those that left the building, so to speak? Does anyone believe this story?

On Super Bowl Sunday, in an interview with Bill O'Reilly, President Obama said there was "not even a smidgen of corruption" at the IRS. The IRS has been delaying the release of documents subpoenaed by the House Ways and Means Committee for months, always promising and never delivering. Now they say the most crucial e-mails, those between Lerner and outside agencies and offices, are unavailable due to a computer crash. Right. Not a smidgen of corruption.

Not a problem, you say. The information is there in the server. All we need to do is get some forensic computer gurus to get it out. Simple enough, right?

That's where the problem lies. You can't just call in the Geek Squad to go through government computers. It will have to ordered by none other than Attorney General Eric Holder. We pretty much know that Holder is not going to do anything that is going to make his boss look bad. He hasn't to date - unless, like me, you believe that his failure to prosecute the New Black Panther Party and his failure to be forthcoming about Fast and Furious are direct, negative reflections on President Obama.

It's interesting that the IRS lost two years of Lerner's most important e-mails just when they were supposed to be given to the committee. What a strange coincidence, huh? "You know - it's funny but the e-mails from the exact dates you wanted just don't seem to be here anymore..."

Nope. No corruption here. Not even a smidgen.

In other news, the White House said Thursday that President Obama found out about the ISIS systematically taking over Iraq from the news media. Really? If this is true (and I highly doubt it is) it means one of two things. Either Obama is a moron who pays absolutely no attention to world events (and still skips his security briefings) or he has surrounded himself with advisers who don't tell him anything for fear of upsetting him or in fear that he simply won't know what to do.

It also means he watches FOX News regularly because the main stream (all Obama all the time) media doesn't report on anything that might make Obama look bad. You know - like the fact that 2-1/2 years after we pulled out of Iraq it's being overrun by terrorists.

Obama needs to resign. If he won't then in January 2015 he needs to be impeached and jailed. In this day and age we need a President who is concerned and knowledgeable about current world events, not one who goes on golfing trips and fund raiser trips when there are crises in the world.

It's a scary thing to think about but I'm beginning to think even Joe Biden would be better than Obama at this point. At least when Biden says he doesn't know something it's probably true.
