Democrats Exhibit Blatant Disrespect For Benghazi Victims

On Thursday, 15 Democrat members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on Benghazi demonstrated their ultimate disdain and disrespect for the four victims of the Benghazi terrorist attack.  They got up and walked out of the meeting just before the committee heard testimony from the parents of Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods.  Seriously.

In an act that I can only describe as disgusting, all but two Democrat members walked out just prior to testimony by Patricia Smith, who is Sean Smith’s mother, and Charles Woods, Tyrone Woods' father. There was no stated reason for the walkout - at least I haven't seen any, but I can't imagine the coldness of one's heart to walk out of a hearing and refuse to hear testimony from the parents of dead American heroes.  Their contempt for committee procedures and common decency is obvious.  Their actions certainly support my belief that the Obama administration and Democrats in Washington don't really care one way or the other about the Benghazi victims and want the entire incident to just go away.

The list of lawmakers who walked out of the hearing is as follows:

Carolyn Maloney (NY)
Danny Davis (FL)
Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC)
Gerald E. Connolly (VA)
Jim Cooper (TN)
John Tierney (MA)
Mark Pocan (WI)
Matt Cartwright (PA)
Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM)
Peter Welch (VT)
Stephen Lynch (MA)
Steven Horsford (NV)
Tammy Duckworth (IL)
Tony Cardenas (CA)
William Lacy Clay (MO)
To their credit, Elijia Cummings, (MD) and Jackie Speier, (CA) remained in the hearing to hear the testimony of these grieving parents.  But after 15 of their colleagues walked out, as Hillary Clinton so famously said - "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
