Let The Hatred Of Nancy Mace Begin

 

A victim of rape when she was 16, Nancy Mace doesn't believe she should have to share the women's bathroom with biological males. It's the same issue that has come up in public schools, elementary through high school, and in our universities. And the answers are always the same. 

Most Republicans/conservatives believe the science that men cannot become women by having surgeries and getting hormone injections. It's impossible to change DNA and chromosomes. That's just fact.

Honest leftists understand that but most believe that ignoring the mental illness in support of the feelings of those men take precedence over the science. Even some women believe that. Some believe biological males should not only be allowed to share bathrooms with biological females, but they should be allowed to play girl's/women's sports and share girl's/women's locker rooms.

Biological girls and women are not only being cheated out of sports titles when they're forced to compete against men, but are also being injured... some seriously.

It's still unbelievable to me that so-called feminists mostly ignore this issue, instead focusing their "equality" efforts on the right to abort babies. Abortion seems to be the number one issue of feminists these days. Funny thing is - abortion is not an equal rights with men thing. Men can't get pregnant. And "pregnant trans men" is not actually a thing. Only women have uteri. Again... scientific fact

God bless and protect Nancy Mace. She's already being threatened by men who want to use the ladies room. Women have a right to feel safe in the most private of public places. 

Does Matt Gaetz Have a Chance?

The House Ethics Committee, an oxymoron in and of itself, is deciding whether or not to release its report on an investigation of Matt Gaetz over allegations out of Florida. Those allegations were investigated by Merrick Garland's FBI and the Florida Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Both agencies closed their investigations without charges being filed, saying there was insufficient evidence to show a crime was committed and that the witnesses were inconsistent and not credible.

The Ethics Committee has investigated Gaetz and, now that he's been nominated by Trump for Attorney General, is debating the report's release even after Gaetz resigned from his Congressional seat. I am curious about what's in the report. If they reached the same conclusion as the FBI and the Florida BCI, then it's no problem. If they say they found concrete evidence of criminal activity either they're better investigators than the two investigative agencies, which I find difficult to believe, or, because they are not law enforcement officials, their burden of proof is far less than what is required by law enforcement. 

One thing is certain... there are Republicans in the House who hate Matt Gaetz because of the Kevin Mccarthy incident. Would they issue a report that might not be 100% accurate to get rid of him? I have no doubt whatsoever that the FBI did a very thorough investigation in an effort to hang an outspoken Republican out to dry. In the court of public opinion Matt Gaetz may be guilty as sin. But the Fifth Amendment "Due Process Clause" protects people from conviction without due process. "The government must follow proper procedures and not violate any Constitutional rights when seeking a conviction or that conviction will not stand."

Should the Committe report be released before Gaetz's confirmation hearing? I'll let you decide. For me the report is irrelevant. He was cleared by two top investigative agencies which, in my book, holds more weight than the House Ethics Committee. Do I trust the FBI in general? Not at all. But as I said - I believe their investigation against a Republican was in depth and complete. The Garland FBI would leave no stone unturned in their effort to hurt the Republicans. 

I have my doubts about Gaetz getting confirmed. According to news reports, at least eight Republican Senators have said they will not vote to confirm him. J.D. Vance is meeting with Senators this morning to talk about it. Let's see what happens.

Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary? Absolutely.

Pete Hegseth has been criticized by the left for saying he believes women shouldn't be in active combat., meaning boots on the ground on the front lines.

What? How dare he think that??

Hegseth has also be deemed "not qualified" by the likes of John Bolton and the left.

NBC's Andrea Mitchell commented on Hegseth's comment one day, sharing her ignorance with the world. She asked, "What about women pilots in combat zones? Should they not be allowed to fight?"

If I could answer her I'd say, "Andrea... you really shouldn't comment on things you know nothing about. Pilots don't normally spend a lot of time in combat zones, and they don't put boots on the ground. They fly their missions and return to their support base. And that's not what Hegseth was talking about."

I honestly don't know any men who actually want women fighting on the front lines. It's not misogyny (a favorite word of the left) or cheauvinism. And it's not that men feel women aren't capable of holding their own.

I think part of it is protective instict. Men don't want to see their buddies get shot or blown up but even more - they don't want to see a woman get shot or blown up. That's just the way most men are designed.

There are obvious differences between most men and most women in size and strength, which can be very important depending on the situation. On November 13th, following a three-year review, the Army announced it has scrapped plans to use the same physical fitness test for all soldiers, choosing instead to have some reduced standards to allow women and older soldiers to pass. According to the study, 44% of women fail the test vs 7% of men.

When you lower standards so more people pass you lower fitness and readiness overall. That's just simple fact. 

The ban on women in combat roles was lifted in 2013. Hegseth hasn't indicated he has any plans to try getting that ban reinstated. But of course, that detail doesn't stop the left from screaming about it.

One thing many people don't understand is that diversity quotas... gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, skin color, etc., don't increase the efficiency or lethality of a fighting force. Fighting forces need to be cohesive and mission oriented, not separated by social differences. But in the last 15 years, social diversity has become a priority of the military. Hegseth wants to push things away from social issues and back toward readiness. And I agree with him.

I'm sure I'll get flak for my thoughts on this issue, even though I've offered no opinion on whether or not women should be in combat. They are already there. My opinion matters not. But it would be interesting to survey men who currently serve with women on the front lines to get their thoughts on the subject. That would show how the men feel about it and could possibly alleviate any concerns. Or it could prove to be problematic.

As for Hegseth's qualifications... he earned a Bachelor's Degree from Princeton and a Master's from Harvard. He served 21 years in the Minnesota National Guard, attaining the rank of Major. He was deployed both to Iraq and Afghanistan and has been awarded two bronze stars. (Donald Rumsfeld, who held the position of Defense Secretary twice, served three years in the Navy. Five former Defense Secretaries had no military experience whatsoever.)

He's qualified. Oh, wait... he hosts a show on Fox News! Oh, the humanity...!

Leftists Unleash "Operation Stupid"

 

One thing Donald Trump does well is bringing out the stupid in those who oppose him.

Why do I say that, you ask? Just watch some source of real news.

Leftist women across the country are shaving their heads in protest of his win. Yeah... really. To me that screams "I'm an idiot who believes shaving my head will somehow convince people they should have voted for Kamala Harris."

This ridiculous protest falls in line with the 4B movement, where women swear off men until Trump leaves office. Maybe I'm a little dense, but I'm having trouble understanding the long term goal of this one.

There are married women refusing to have sex with their husbands because of this movement. Do they think their marriage will survive their political idiocy? If my wife cut me off for four years because her candidate didn't win an election, I can tell you honestly there would be serious consequences. Perhaps those married women are all talk. Or not.

I've heard numerous accounts that the election result is tearing families apart. Trump haters are ending family relationships because someone in the family voted for Trump. That's simply idiotic. Trump will be in office for four years. Family is forever... or at least is supposed to be.

Trump has an ability to expose the blatant intolerance of the left. It's actually pretty funny, but it's sad as well. These are American "adults" we're talking about. But they're not acting like it.

McConnell Trying To Maintain Control of Senate

Mitch McConnell is trying to undermine Trump before he leaves the Senate. McConnell, who announced his upcoming retirement earlier this year, has called for an election of the new Republican Senate leader this Wednesday, before he leaves office. Normally it would be held after the new Senate is sworn in.

There's a reason McConnell is doing this. McConnell is anti-Trump and anti-MAGA. He has made it clear, particularly in the months leading up to the election. Now, before he leaves, he wants to stack the deck against Trump by getting one of his close allies, John Thune or RINO John Cornyn, elected to replace him. Both Thune and Cornyn have been on record voicing opposition to Trump.

Rick Scott of Florida is the third candidate. He's a Trump ally and McConnell does not want him to be the majority leader. 

Why would McConnell do that?, you might ask. It's because McConnell is an old school swamp dweller who does not want Trump to change things, even after he leaves. How could Thune or Cornyn interfere with Trump's agenda with a 53 to 47 majority? By refusing to bring items to the floor for a vote if said items further Trump's agenda, against the desires of the swamp.

John Cornyn is from Texas. He's a snake. In his last election, when he discovered he could lose, he began courting the Democrat vote, making promises to them just to help him win. He has opposed Trump many times, and there is no reason to suspect he won't continue to do so.

On Wednesday, all Republican Senators should refuse to vote in defiance of the man who is trying to control them after he leaves office. As far as I'm concerned, Mitch McConnell did one thing right in the last 15 years. He prevented Merrick Garland, evil personified, from becoming a Supreme Court Justice. He did it by refusing to bring the confirmation hearing to the floor. Thune and Cornyn were no doubt paying attention.

McConnell needs to be stopped. With a Republican President, a Republican Senate, and soon to be Reublican House, Republicans have a great opportunity to finally get positive things done. Call your Senator. Tell him/her to shut down McConnell's anti-Trump agenda.

The Left Is Losing Their Collective Mind

On November 5th, the American people elected Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. He won the popular vote and the Electoral College. This despite all of the hateful rhetoric of the left, the lawfare, and the left-wing media working in tandem to prevent it. 

During the past four years the left in toto did everything they could to prevent Trump from even running. They impeached him after he left office, hoping to legally bar him from running again. They held the January 6th hearings, hoping to get him on an insurrection charge. It is now coming to light that the committee willfully suppressed evidence that proved Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats refused extra security offered by then President Trump, making them largely responsible for the violence that occurred that day.

Then the Democrats went after him legally in what has been coined "lawfare." State Attorneys General and local prosecutors in New York and Georgia filed bogus, exaggerated charges against Trump, hoping to put him in jail so he couldn't campaign. The New York judges showed blatant bias against Trump and committed numerous violations of legal precedent to insure a conviction. (The Appellate Court in New York is now reviewing the New York cases and finding serious issues of impropriety committed by the prosecution.)

The Department of Justice illegally appointed a Special Prosecutor, without going through legal proceedings, to investigate and charge Trump with federal crimes on top of the state charges. That prosecutor, Jack Smith, has a long and notorious history of winning convictions in dubious ways, only to have those convictions overturned on appeal. For Smith and the Justice Department, the eventual outcome wasn't important. It was all about convicting Trump before the election.

Their efforts all failed. Trump won a decisive victory despite the efforts of the left. "Why?" my leftist friends ask. "How is it possible so many Americans voted for this evil man that we hate?"

The answer is multifaceted... but simple.

1) The leadership of the country under Biden/Harris over the last four years has largely failed. Inflation is still up. Gas prices stayed high until the election loomed. Grocery prices are still high. Mortgage rates are high. The overall cost of living under Biden/Harris is bad. (Kamala Harris blamed grocery prices on price gouging, but the American people didn't buy what she was selling,)

2) Biden ended one war badly, getting Americans killed needlessly, and without remorse. He then got us into two proxy wars, spending countless billions to fund Ukraine, and billions more funding both our ally, Israel, and Hamas, the terrorist organization that attacked Israel. And he has now begun funding Hezbollah in its fight against Israel.

3) After pretending Joe Biden was mentally competent, until they couldn't do it anymore, top Democrats in Washington forced him out of the Presidential race and installed Kamala Harris. Die hard Democrats didn't care that installing Harris completely disregarded our electoral process. But many Americans took notice.

The Democrats used the same old, tiring narrative against Trump. "He's not a good man. He's a convicted criminal. He's a rapist. He grabs women's genitals..." They did add "He's a fascist," and ""He's Adolph Hitler," to the narrative this time. The die hard Democrats and Trump haters, including Kamala Harris, ran with that narrative. But the majority of American voters saw it for what it was - a dishonest distraction from Kamala Harris' complete lack of substance.

I don't believe the country has been more divided politically than we are now, at least in my lifetime. The hatred and vitriol coming from the left, directed not only at Trump but at his voters, are unprecedented. I have friends, whom I love, who have called me vile names and even demanded I unfriend them because I voted for Trump. They don't care to understand my reasons. Their hatred is beyond reason, and speaks to mental illness. But if our friendship is going to end because of a political disagreement, they're going to have to end it, not me.

To them I would say, "I'm sorry you chose to end our friendship because of a political disagreement. But if that is your choice - perhaps our friendship wasn't as important as I believed it to be."

The Left Will Say Anything To Win

"The Atlantic Magazine," through Editor-in-Chief Jeffery Goldberg, has released a couple of articles about Donald Trump in the last week that are simple hit pieces, full of lies and disinformation.

The first article, about Trump disrespecting the family of a murdered soldier, quoted "unnamed sources on Trump's staff" who said he made racist comments about the soldier and refused to pay for her funeral after promising to do so. The family of the fallen soldier went public about the article saying it is untrue, that Trump showed their family the utmost respect, and that some of them have already voted for him.

The second article was about disgraced and disgruntled General John Kelly, who was fired from Trump's staff in 2019. Two weeks before the election, Kelly decided to tell the world about Trump’s "admiration of Adolph Hitler," about which he's supposedly known since he worked in the White House. It's just a coincidence that he brought it up now... (wink, wink.) No one knows if Kelly actually said it because "The Atlantic" has a history of lying about Trump. Of course, John Goldberg ran with it as fact and published it in what is just another effort to hurt Trump.

Goldberg published an article several weeks back about Trump calling dead soldiers "suckers and losers." The information originally came from a 2020 article by none other than John Goldberg in "The Atlantic," ahain citing "unknown White House sources." It stemmed from Trump being prevented by the Secret Service from participating in a D-Day memorial because weather prevented Marine One from flying safely to Normany. Goldberg's version of what happened was so bad even Snopes discredited it as unverfiable. But here it is again. And the left and Trump haters drink it in like cheap wine

One might ask, "If the articles by Goldberg are untrue, why would 'The Atlantic' publish them?" There is a simple answer. Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of billionaire Steve Jobs. She owns "The Atlantic," and is a close personal friend of Kamala Harris. Their friendship is well documented, and Jobs is one of Harris' biggest donors. She has a vested interest in seeing Harris beat Trump.

The left is fully aware that Kamala Harris' campaign is a train wreck about to happen. They will say and do anything to pull this election out. Kamala Harris recently called Trump a fascist on national television, and compared him to Hitler. John Goldberg's lies about Trump are easy to research and disprove. He consistently "quotes" bold claims about Trump, but they're always from "unnamed sources." Anyone can make up a negative statement about anyone if you never have to prove a valid source. And, of course, Goldberg is often quoted by the left-wing media... but never challenged.

The left and the Trump haters will believe anything negative about Trump, and believe nothing negative about Harris. Truth really doesn't matter to them. Neither does history. It's all about defeating their nemesis. Period.

The Move To Stifle Free Thought

Many countries in Europe have laws against "hate speech." A person can be arrested, charged, tried and incarcerated for saying things out loud or online that are deemed harmful to someone else... even if it's only words.

The European Council on Human Rights defines hate speech as "all types of expression that incite, promote, spread or justify violence, hatred or discrimination against a person or group of persons, or that denigrates them, by reason of their real or attributed personal characteristics or status such as “race”, colour, language, religion, nationality, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation."

Take a good look at that list. That's a lot of ways to go to pr8son just for expressing your thoughts publicly.

In Great Britain recently, a 53-year-old woman from northwest England was jailed for 15 months after posting on Facebook that a mosque should be blown up “with the adults inside.” A 45-year-old man was sentenced to 20 months for goading his online followers to torch a hotel that houses refugees. A 55-year-old woman was questioned by the police for a viral post that wrongly identified the suspect in a deadly knife attack at a children’s dance class.

Also in Great Britain, a man was sentenced to 21 months in prison for encouraging people to join the protests against mostly out of control immigration in the country and for saying he hopes the boats sink.

All of these examples have one thing in common. Words were stated/posted but no actual incidents occurred because of those words. Yet four people are in prison.

Imagine these laws being in place in the United States. Some will say "That would be great." But would it, really?

Imagine being imprisoned for expressing your anger at "Muslim" terrorists for an incident here in this country. Those involved are terrorists and they're Muslim, but someone gets their feelings hurt because you linked the two words together... because they're factual. You go to jail.

Imagine being arrested because you express your outrage over illegal immigration, or you loudly criticize certain politicians because they allow it. Imagine Madonna going to prison for saying she sometimes thinks about destroying the White House, or Johnny Depp for asking his stupid question, in a fairly blatant reference to Lincoln and Trump. Can't happen, you say? I'd bet the many people imprisoned in Europe for mere words didn't think so either.

Imagine being jailed for explicitely expressing your strong dislike for a Presidential candidate, or publicly telling lies about him/her...

Where do laws like this stop? How far is too far? People are already being called haters and bigots for having their own opinions on social issues. How long before having those opinions becomes illegal.

The beauty of our First Amendment is that we have the legal right to have and share our opinions on any topic as long as it remains opinion and doesn’t harm someone. Newsflash: just as we learned as children (sticks and stones) - words alone cannot physically harm someone. And its not illegal for someone's feelings to be hurt. I would hate to see that day come.

Reinventing Kamala Harris

About 5 weeks ago, the left, particularly the left-wing media, was talking about how Kamala Harris needed to be replaced on the Democrat ticket because she was a thorn in Biden's side. Her low approval ratings and pathetic public perception made the left think a different candidate would greatly improve Biden's chances of winning. Then Biden dropped out.

To keep the money donors had already pledged to the campaign, Kamala Harris was the only choice the DNC had. In order to create any possible opportunity for her to win, she needed to be reinvented as a strong, wise leader. And, with the help of the media wing of the Democrat Party, that's what is happening now.

Biden dropped out of the race on January 21st. On the 22nd, the media blitz to completely reinvent Kamala Harris was initiated. Suddenly, overnight, she went from needing to be replaced to being the greatest Vice President in the history of the country. Negative news articles were scrubbed from the airwaves and the internet. She was hidden away so she doesn't have to speak to reporters without a teleprompter. Videos of crowds greeting her plane were created with AI.

She chose a far-left radical as her running mate. When the stories of his lies about his military service record surfaced, they were denied and buried by the media. Facts were distorted. His record of far-left activities as governor were buffered by the media to make him sound more moderate and therefore more appealing.

The DNC and the left-wing media know that about half of the country will believe whatever they're told on their TVs. Mika Brzezinski once outlined it famously on "Morning Joe" when she said "He (meaning Trump) is trying to control how people think. That is our job." 

The left, from the Vice President, to the DNC, to the left-wing media, all believe this. And they will say and do whatever is necessary to maintain power. And leftist voters and Trump haters suck it up like mother's milk.

The one positive in the equation is that Kamala Harris loves the camera. She likes impromptu speaking, even though her impromptu speeches are often just word salad. She believes the things she says are brilliant, which is why she often repeats them over and over, even if they're demonstraby wrong. The debates, if she actually goes through with them, will be her downfall, just like Biden. She won't be confused and appear senile. In a fair debate, if she's not given the questions and answers ahead of time, she'll serve up her usual word salad answers that make sense only to her. The media will cover for her, as always, but the damage will occur.

Think Biden Isn't Involved in Trump's Legal Issues?

If there was any doubt the Biden regime is behind the travesty that is the Trump trial in New York, yesterday should remove any doubts. Biden campaign spokespeople held a press conference outside the courthouse and Biden himself will make a speech after the verdict is made public. Biden and his people should stay as far away from the case as possible to avoid the appearance of being a communist regime who puts their opposition in prison. Instead they're out front cheering it on.

If there was a doubt that "judge" Merchan wants a guilty verdict - he proved it today with his instructions to the jury that they need not agree on the as of yet unnamed charge that supposedly made this case a felony. They apparently have three choices and they can each  pick one of those to convict Trump. The law says the prosecution has to prove every aspect of their case, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and the jury must agree unanimously. Corrupt Merchan threw that out the window.

This case is making New York City's Justice system a laughing stock... and a corrupt one at that. The hush money payment, a misdemeanor, was passed over by Bragg and passed over by the Justice Department. The Federal Election Committee said no crime had been committed. Then Trump announced he was running for reelection. Suddenly, the guy in the #3 position at the Justice Department takes a huge downgrade to become an assistant prosecutor for the City of New York and, shortly afterward, Bragg revives the case with felony charges. Except the crime that was used to increase the misdemeanors to felonies remains known only to the prosecution and the judge, a blatant violation of Trump's rights.

We need one juror... just one... who believes in the rule of law to stop this corruption. But the left has already declared if any juror dares to not convict Trump, he/she will be crucified by that media and the internet. I have no doubt any juror voting in Trump's favor will be doxxed and threatened. Alvin Bragg himself was in the courtroom yesterday, looking at every juror, no doubt trying to intimidate them. Let's see if it worked.

Memorial Day 2024

 

Monday, May 27^th, is Memorial Day. It's a day set aside in 1967 to honor military veterans who died in service to their country.

Originally known as Decoration Day, it was a yearly event in which people decorated the graves of fallen military members. It began in 1861 but really took shape during and following the Civil War, when the graves of both Union and Confederate soldiers were decorated each year by local citizens. (Over 620,000 men died in the Civil War. Those citizens were busy.)

The tradition continued without being a holiday until 1967, when Lyndon Johnson declared it the Memorial Day Holiday. It was originally observed on May 30^th, until the government created Monday holidays for most American days of observation.

Many people confuse Memorial Day with Veterans' Day, or believe they are similar. They're not. Veterans' Day is a day set aside to honor all military veterans, living and dead, to thank them for their service. Memorial Day is set aside specifically to honor those who made that ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

It is said that a veteran is a person who “at some point, wrote a blank check to 'the people of the United States of America' in the sum of 'up to and including my life.'” And in many ways that's true. Not all military members end up in harm's way. I served eight years during what was mostly peacetime (Grenada happened while I was in) and never had to deploy to a combat zone. But I would have had it been necessary.

My point is when you join the U.S. armed services you basically volunteer your life in service to your country. And many end up making that ultimate sacrifice. And that's why we have Memorial Day – to honor those who selflessly served the people of this nation.

Many Americans will spend Monday barbecuing and spending time celebrating with family. I'm OK with that. The men and women who sacrificed their lives would be OK with that too, I'm sure, because freedom to enjoy life is what they sacrificed their lives for. All I would ask is that at some point in the day they contemplate the true purpose of the day and honor those who made it possible for them to celebrate.

In 1991, I was living in Leavenworth, Kansas, just outside the front gate of Fort Leavenworth. The Saturday before Memorial Day I took my six year old son to Fort Leavenworth and we helped soldiers and other volunteers place American flags in front of every grave stone in the national cemetery on the grounds of the fort. It was truly a humbling experience and such an honor. It was my way of not only honoring my fallen military comrades but also of teaching my son the importance of doing just that. And while it didn't have quite the same significance for him that it did for me, I know he never forgot the experience.

I read something the other day that said “Don't wish people a happy Memorial Day because it's a day of remembrance and solemnity.” I disagree. I wish everyone a happy Memorial Day in celebration of the freedoms we have thanks to our military members, and particularly those who died while fighting to preserve our freedom. As long as you remember the true meaning of the day there is no reason you shouldn't celebrate what it has brought us.

I offer a heartfelt thank you to all military members, but this weekend, particularly to those who made that ultimate sacrifice on my behalf. You may not get the recognition you deserve on a regular basis, but Monday is your day.

Leftists Never Give Up - Except On Truth

I enjoy watching the left get all worked up over ridiculous things. Right now, there are two non-newsworthy things riling them up big-time. 

The first is Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. It seems Justice Alito's wife put an American flag, upside down, on a poll in the front yard of their Virginia home. The upside down flag, by definition, is the symbol of the nation in distress, which we are... or at least were immediately following the J6 incident.

Leftists, including AOC, apparently have assigned their own meaning to that symbol - saying it now means "stop the steal" because some protesters on J6 carried upside down flags at the Capitol. It seems they're not quite bright enough to grasp the "nation in distress" definition.

Leftists are demanding Justice Alito recuse himself from any and all J6 cases that might be presented to the Supreme Court. They believe he demonstrated his feelings concerning J6 by raising the flag in his yard... except they have no evidence that he personally had anything to do with it. Justice Alito is a smart man who is well aware of the optics such an action would present. Reliable news reports say the flag was only up for a short time, without Justice Alito's knowledge, then was taken down... likely when he found out about it. But facts never got in the way of Democrat whining.

Perhaps Justice Alito should exert more control over his wife. Leftists love that, right?

The second thing driving leftists crazy is a video, purported to be a Trump campaign ad, that uses photos of vintage newspapers in the background. One of those newspapers is from the 1930s and a byline says something about a "unified reich." The left, of course, went absolutely nuts. They immediately revived their lame mantra about "Trump wants to be a dictator! He told us so! And now he wants a unified reich!" referring to Trump's joking statement to Hannity that he'd be "a dictator on day 1" and reverse all of Biden's stupid policies. The left knows they're lying. Everyone knows they're lying. But even Biden got into the act, making a video about the "unified Reich" and "Trump wants to be a dictator."

It would all be funny, except when the left-wing media repeats the lies over and over, loudly, 24/7, their viewers believe it. Particularly when it comes from their trusted sources. It's got to be true if Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough say it.

Fourth Circuit and ACLU Say First Amendment Doesn't Matter

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals recently sided with the Montgomery County, Maryland, Independent School District, ruling that parents may not opt their children out of mandatory curriculum that includes books featuring LGBTQ characters.

Three sets of parents, one Christian, one Muslim, and one Jewish, filed a lawsuit, citing religious beliefs, after the district ended the opt out policy that was in place. 

The ACLU defended the school's cancellation of the policy, stating "The policy became unmanageable due to the large number of children opting out and a soaring rate of absenteeism. And it created a stigmatizing environment for students who are LGBTQ or have LGBTQ family members, undermining the purpose of the inclusivity requirement."

U.S. District Judge Deborah L. Boardman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland ruled against the parents. The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., upheld the decision.

“We’re talking about books like ‘Pride Puppy,’ which is light-hearted and affirming,” said ACLU of Maryland Legal Director Deborah Jeon in a press release. “During a time of intensifying calls to ban books and limit access to information about LGBTQ+ people and identities, this ruling in support of inclusion in education matters.”

So the ACLU - the American Civil Liberties Union - disregards the Constitutionally protected First Amendment right to religious freedom in favor of poor school management and a small group of confused children and parents having their feelings hurt. Welcome to leftist America.

Leftists Demand Harrison Butker Be Cancelled

People are unbelievable. A group of snowflakes has created a petition that calls on the Kansas City Chiefs to fire Harrison Butker.

The petition, called “Dismiss Harrison Butker for Discriminatory Remarks.” reads as follows:

“The harmful remarks made by Harrison Butker, kicker of the Kansas City Chiefs, during his commencement address at Benedictine College were unacceptable. His comments were sexist, homophobic, anti-trans, anti-abortion and racist,” the petition states. “These dehumanizing remarks against LGBTQ+ individuals, attacks on abortion rights and racial discrimination perpetuate division and undermine human rights.”

In other words... anti-leftist. All I can think of to say is... "Waaaaaaahhh."

Leftists in this country forbid one to have an opinion that differs from theirs. And if having that opinion isn't bad enough for them, expressing it, even at a private event, on your own time, to a select audience, will get people who weren't there to demand you be fired from your job and your life be ruined... for something that triggered outrage because of their own personal issues.

To her credit, Whoopi Goldberg said on "The View" yesterday that Butker has every right to have and express his thoughts, even if people disagree with him.

The petition currently has 106,000 signatures. I have no doubt the woke NFL, which is rife with real criminals, will actually consider some type of consequences for Butker having the audacity to exercise his First Amendment right to express his thoughts. The thought police will do their best to cancel him.

Freedom of Speech is Under Assault

I saw the story about Kansas City Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker, and his comments made during a commencement speech this past Saturday. Butker, a devout Catholic who was speaking at a small Catholic school, expressed his personally held belief that women are designed by God to have children and raise families and he believes those who do are happier and more fulfilled than those who choose a career and status instead. He also expressed his disagreement with the transgender movement,  another traditional Catholic belief. From what I've read, his remarks were well received by the male and female audience.

But it's 2024, and the non-conservatives across the country went nuts. You know the ones... those who weren't there but have a deep need to be outraged for the people to whom the speech was addressed, and for all of the poor women and trans people who might feel verbally abused, and even threatened, by Butker expressing his (harmless) personal beliefs, because his beliefs are different than theirs. How dare he tell women what to do??! 

Except he didn't tell anyone what to do. He expressed personally held beliefs with which others many or may not agree. He has a Constitutional right to do so. And he was invited to do so by the school.

Butker's employer, the Kansas City Chiefs, in the name of "inclusion," put out a statement distancing the team from his remarks.

“Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity. His views are not those of the NFL as an organization,” said Senior Vice President Jonathan Beane, the league’s chief diversity and inclusion officer. “The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”

You had to know the woke NFL wouldn't be able to stay silent. It wouldn't surprise me to learn of some punishment inflicted on Butker in the near future.

The official X page of the city of Kansas City, Missouri, published a tweet informing the public of the rather small suburb where Butker lives, then took it down eight minutes later. Eight minutes is long enough for crazies to see it and plan. Whoever did that should be fired immediately.

The Western world has become a place where freedom of speech is under assault. In some countries, (Canada, Great Britain, and other European nations) people are already being prosecuted and jailed for what is being called "hate speech," which in fact is merely expressing beliefs that are not main stream/woke. Conservative beliefs; political, religious, social, etc., are being vilified by the left and by secular groups, and prohibited in other countries. There are, without a doubt, people in these United States who would do away with the First Amendment right to free speech. The cancel culture is about just that.

People need to stop getting irate about the opinions of others with which they disagree. Life is too short.

The Destruction of American Justice

The persecution of Trump by the left is quickly destroying our legal system, sanctioned and aided by the Justice Department and Joe Biden. Records show every prosecutor involved (New York's Bragg and AG Laticia James, Georgia's Fani Willis, and Jack Smith) has been personally in touch with the White House and/or the Justice Department in the last 18 months. Coincidence? Yeah, right.

Michael Colangelo, one of Bragg's prosecutors, was the #3 guy in the U.S. Department of Justice until the end of 2022, when he  just happened to resign and move to New York City to take a job as a prosecutor. No one does that without a reason. We know in 2018 Colangelo was paid a total of $12,000 by the Democrat National Committee for "political consulting." No appearance of impropriety there. Nope. Not even a little bit...

Jack Smith was recently forced to admit mishandling of evidence in the documents case. The judge in that case put the trial on indefinite hold because of Smith's irregularities.

Attorney General Merrick Garland recently announced, with an election coming up in six months, that the Justice Department is going to crack down on misinformation. Can you say Deja Vu? Even though it's now widely known that the Biden administration colluded with big tech to suppress and mislead the American public, I have no doubt they'll enlist the assistance of big tech again. They can't allow voters to be informed.

For Democrats... politicians, Attorneys General (both state and federal), and prosecutors (both state and federal), justice has become about rigging and winning elections for the Democrats. The judges in New York (Engoron and Merchan) are clearly biased against Trump, and Merchon should have recused himself for family conflict of interest. In Georgia, Judge McAfee worked as a prosecutor for Fani Willis, in the DA's Office, before being appointed to the Superior Court, (having never been a judge before.) Jack Smith reports to Merrick Garland.

The "coincidences" in these prosecutions of Trump are pretty remarkable... and the odds of them being coincidences are astronomical. The new Democrat motto has become "Win at any and all cost." It should worry all Americans.

Good-bye First Amendment...?

This is a first for me.

I never thought I'd agree with Jerry Nadler or the ACLU... on anything. But on a recent bill being considered in the House, they are correct.

HR 6090, The "Antisemitism Awareness Act," is a bill aimed at curbing public expression, ostensibly on college campuses, of antisemitic and/or anti-Israel rhetoric.  It's a direct assault on the First Amendment. And it's being led and pushed by Republicans.

The points in this bill, some listed below, are adopted from the 

International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) list of antisemitic acts. They are "a certain perception of Jews, often expressed as hatred toward Jews," which includes:

"Calling for, aiding or justifying the killing or harming of Jews;

"Making dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews or the power of Jews as a collective, such as the myth of a Jewish conspiracy or Jews controlling the media, economy, government, or other societal institutions;

"Holocaust denialism;

"Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel than to the interests of their own nation;

"Denying the Jewish people the right to self-determination. For example, claiming the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor (anti-Zionism); and

"Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis."

Anyone who understands and defends freedom of speech in the United States will understand that the language of this bill is too broad, and would put European style restrictions on our First Amendment rights. If you can be jailed for criticizing, defaming, insulting or otherwise disrespecting Jews in America, the First Amendment goes out the window.

Antisemitism is ugly and repugnant, just like racism. But the First Amendment gives every American the right to hate freely and to voice that hatred in a peaceful manner. We may not like it or condone it, but if it's outlawed we no longer have a Constitutional Republic. Some will say we already have lost our Republic, but this will definitely cement it. People in Europe get imprisoned for what is considered hate speech. It's never been that way here... until now?

Imagine going to prison simply for saying the Holocaust didn't happen or saying Jews control the media in this nation. Ignorant perhaps... but illegal? How far will it go after that?

The House passed the bill yesterday evening with a vote of 320 to 91. Twenty-one Republicans and 70 Democrats voted against it.

Republicans better be careful. Up until yesterday, Democrats were the ones working hard to reign in First Amendment rights. Now they've got the help of the Republicans.

And MAGA Is The Problem?

The left likes to pretend that MAGA Americans are "a threat to Democracy." Except they have no evidence to back their claims except the incident on January 6th, which we now know was at least partially planned and coordinated by federal law enforcement. The FBI had operatives on the ground (Christopher Wrey refuses to admit that but also refuses to deny it.) The Capitol Police invited protesters to cross barricade lines and even escorted some of them around the building. Windows were broken by people dressed in Antifa garb and the "IEDs" found outside the DNC headquarters building, while Kamala Harris was inside, were largely ignored until the media began reporting on them.

Yeah, those MAGA Republicans are evil...  Except it wasn't MAGA Republicans who burned cities and assaulted and murdered police throughout the summer of 2020. They haven't taken over city blocks and murdered citizens who resisted them. It was leftists, Marxists, anarchists, etc. 

Over 1200 people have been charged for January 6th and many have been imprisoned, including a 72 year old grandmother, whose "crime" apparently was praying inside the Capitol that day. Many have been imprisoned for trespassing. In contrast, most of the BLM and Antifa members arrested in 2020 had their charges dropped and suffered no consequences for their wanton destruction and murder. And MAGA Americans are the threat?

Once again we're seeing leftist hatred manifest itself nationwide, this time directed at Jews, both American and Israeli, and Israel itself. Once again the leftist media is reporting on "peaceful protests" in which Jewish college students are being threatened, and in many cases assaulted, by pro-Hamas terrorist sympathizers. The protesters and media like to say the demonstrations are pro-Palestinians, except their demands do nothing but help Hamas.

Protesters at Columbia University have successfully shut down the school. They demand Jewish students leave the university. They also demand that the university cease taking donations from any company that manufactures weapons or weapons components that are being sent to Israel. That demand does nothing for Palestinian citizens but helps Hamas if honored. They're demanding a ceasefire... which again helps Hamas. Many believe Hamas was justified in killing 1200 innocent Jews and taking hostages. Notice securing the release of hostages, including Americans, is not on their list of demands?

The above photo is the tent encampment set up by protesting students on the campus of Columbia University. Notice the actual tents. Most of them are exactly the same, meaning they were supplied to the protesters rather than brought spontaneously by students. Someone with money is organizing these protests.

Notice also that many of the "leaders" of the protests cover their faces like Antifa "warriors?" Except they're wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh... a scarf that for many represents Hamas terrorism.

Hatred runs rampant within the "tolerant" left. We're seeing it first hand on college campuses, supported by outside money, the leftist media and Democrat politicians. Kids are supposed to go to college to learn, to become more intelligent. These days they're demonstrating that real history is not part of their lessons.

Racist Principal Accuses Student of Racism

Gotta love leftist stupidity. 

16 year old Christian McGhee received a vocabulary assignment that contained the word "alien." He wanted clarification so he asked his teacher if the word referred to space aliens or illegal aliens - those in the country without a geen card.

Apparently a Hispanic student in the class overheard the question and became angry. He stated his desire to fight with Christian after school. The teacher, rather than solve the problem by explaining the question was not meant to be provocative, and was not meant as an insult toward anyone, (sounds like the Hispanic kid, or maybe some family members are in the country illegally) but was merely a question of clarification, since there is a difference between space aliens and people who cross our borders illegally (illegal aliens.)

The teacher reported the incident to the Vice Principal, who immediately accused Christian of racism and suspended him for three days, bypassing the school's policy of trying to resolve the issue informally. I wonder if the Vice Principal understands that there are illegal aliens from about 140 countries in the United States today, people of all races, colors and creeds, and to pretend only Hispanics are in the country illegally; to call someone a racist because one Hispanic kid disliked the question, is racist in and of itself?

To date there has been no apology to Christian made public and no known consequences for the Hispanic student who made threats of violence. The McGhees have lawyered up to take on the school's overreach. I hope Christian wins big and if the Vice Principal isn't fired, he needs mandatory remedial training in First Amendment rights... and maybe common sense.

4th Circuit Blocks Transgender Sports Law

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has told the state of West Virginia it cannot enforce a law prohibiting biological males from competing on girls' sports teams.

The case stems from a 13 year old biological male, who identifies as a girl, and who filed suit against West Virginia for a law which specifies sports participants must compete on teams of their biological sex. The "girl," who has been taking puberty blockers from the age of nine, wants to join the girls' track team. West Virginia said no. The 4th Circuit said "You can't do that."

A lower West Virginia court had already ruled the state could not enforce the law against that particular child. The state appealed. The appeals court ruled they cannot enforce it at all, citing discrimination. The court obviously doesn't understand the science of biology and the differences between males and females. Or they simply don't care. The court, which was once one of the most conservative in the country, has become liberal since Barack Obama appointed six liberal judges, and Biden nominated two, to the 15 member bench. Several others were nominated by Clinton.

Rather than ruling in favor of biological males participating in girls' sports, America would be better served by a child abuse investigation of parents and doctors who put a nine year old boy on puberty blockers. But we already know that won't happen.

The Sham That is Trump's New York Trial

Donald Trump is in court in New York again, facing numerous felony charges for which, once again, there is no victim. D.A. Alvin Bragg found an ancient misdemeanor with which to charge Trump, elevated it to felony status, dumped a bunch more similar charges on it, and dragged Trump back into court. Even Johnathan Turley, a well known Constitutional law professor at Georgetown University, says the charges are ridiculous.

Bragg's star witness will be disgruntled former Trump attorney Michael Cohen. Cohen has served prison time for tax evasion, making false statements to a federally-insured bank, and campaign finance violations. What's interesting about Cohen is that he has also done time for perjury, admittedly lying in court... something Bragg's "Statement of Facts" in the case and the left-wing media do not mention.

I would say Bragg has to prove his case beyond a shadow of a doubt, but it's New York. The case is brought by a leftist District Attorney, before a blatantly biased judge, and there is no doubt the jury will also be biased against Trump.

The judge has issued a gag order against Trump, threatening to jail him for exercising his First Amendment rights. Despite Trump's alleged crimes being no danger to the public, the judge has also threatened to jail Trump if he attends his son, Barron's, high school graduation on Friday instead of being in court. (The judge recently allowed an alleged murderer to skip a day of court for his brother's funeral.) Biased much?

Trump will be convicted of at least some of the charges. Of that I am convinced. It won't be because he's guilty, but because he cannot and will not get a fair trial. It's election interference at its finest... through lawfare. But that's the main goal... to prevent Trump from becoming President again. Funny thing... a conviction of any kind and/or putting Trump in jail will only cause more people to move to his side. Anyone with a working brain can see and understand Trump is being railroaded, not only by local D.A.s, but by the Justice Department. Anything goes to prevent a Trump Presidency.

The Democrat Assault on Our Legal System

We are witnessing the destruction of our legal system and Constitutional rights before our eyes. And all it took to begin was a single term of a President the Washington establishment didn't like.

When Donald Trump won the 2016 election the left not only went nuts, but began planning their assault on the Constitution, our legal system, and our election system.

First, they impeached President Trump for a perfectly legal (and justified) phone call that Trump, as the President-elect, made to the President of Ukraine. Even with Democrats holding a majority of both the House and the Senate, he was acquitted. So they began plan B.

The Democrats also attacked and railroaded Mike Flynn in a different assault, but that's another story for another time.

Over the next three years the Democrats planned, and then executed the first and most openly covert steal of a national election in history. Aided greatly by a pandemic, partisan judges in swing states, Democrat controlled polling places, questionable counting procedures, and billions of dollars spent paying people for ballot harvesting, they managed to snatch the election in a manner that convinced courts there was no reason even to hear evidence challenging the election results. As I have said before - Democrats aren't stupid.

Then, after Trump was no longer President, they held an impeachment hearing, charging him with incitement of an insurrection for the events that occurred at the U.S. capitol on January 6, 2021. (No legal charges of insurrection were ever filed against Trump or any other person.) Democrats again failed to convict him, thus rendering the entire proceeding futile, and a waste of time and taxpayer money.

Trump and his attorneys, along with witnesses to the irregularities of counting procedures in swing states, filed numerous cases citing election interference with various courts. Judges, including Supreme Court Justices, refused to hear evidence. They didn't say there wasn't evidence, but only refused to hear it. Those are two different things. Personally, after the Bush/Gore fiasco, I think the SCOTUS simply refused to get involved in an election dispute. But that's me.

The highly partisan January 6th Committee, even after the prime time drama and professional TV production, failed to produce any real results. Yet in December of 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court and the Maine Secretary of State, citing provisions of the 14th Amendment, found Donald Trump guilty of insurrection, without charges, presentation of evidence, an opportunity for a defense, a jury.... without any due process whatsoever, which is also a provision of the 14th Amendment. Both entities decided Trump could not be on their state primary ballots, because of his (supposed) guilt, enforcement pending appeal to a higher court. Both decisions are in blatant disregard of the Constitution.

Donald Trump, and Trump Derangement Syndrome, have caused Democrats, aided by the left-wing media, to manipulate and/or compromise our Constitution and our legal system in their efforts to control election results. Leftist media pundits praised the decisions to remove Trump from the ballot, many saying Trump's guilt is obvious. Any honest and reputable media outlet would be challenging the Democrats' violation of a citizen's Constitutional rights rather than supporting and praising such abuse of power. 

What those praising the unconstitutional actions against Trump don't seem to understand is that if courts and politicians will ignore the Constitutional rights of a former President to get their desired results, they will do it to anyone who dares to oppose them. If the SCOTUS, for whatever reason, refuses to decide on the legality of what Colorado and Maine have done, our elections will forever be rendered useless and our justice system will be changed forever.
