The Clintons' List Of Casualties....

Today's post was written by someone else.  I don't even know who wrote it but I remember the information in it.  The Clinton's had a long list of friends, associates, and even enemies that "mysteriously" died during their political reign.  Now Hillary wants to run for President and put them back into politics again.  I wonder how long the new list will be....?

People who opposed the Clintons did not last long!
I had forgotten how many there really were.....good to refresh our memory once in awhile.

THE CLINTON BODY BAGS

I have always read Bill was a womanizing, good ole boy, idiot.  But Hillary on the other hand,  she was shrewd, hateful and deadly if need be.   Read the following and draw your own conclusions.

Some of these I remember from 'those days'....How quickly we forget...

THE CLINTON BODY BAGS
Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many "friends" of the Clintons .

1- James McDougal - Clintons convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement in federal prison. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation.
2 - Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown .. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3 - Vince Foster - Former White House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock 's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.
4 - Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was
being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller committed suicide.

involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8 - Jerry Parks - Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock .. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock Park 's son said his father was building a dossier
on Clinton He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9 - James Bunch - Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas
10 - James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater..

11 - Kathy Ferguson - Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

Learn From Your Own Story - What A Concept!

On Tuesday, Texas state Senator Wendy Davis filibustered S.B.5, a bill which would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, limit the prescription of medication-induced abortions, and require first-trimester abortion clinics to be regulated as ambulatory surgical centers, even if they don't offer surgical procedures.

Opponents of the law argue that the bill would close 37 out of the 42 abortion clinics in the state.

Senator Davis is being heralded as a hero by abortion proponents and those who believe that ending a pregnancy at any time for any reason should be a woman’s choice.  She spoke for 11 hours without a break of any kind as abortion rights supporters gathered in the spectator gallery.

The filibuster was interrupted near midnight by Republicans citing procedural error and a vote was taken.  The oral vote, however, was drowned out by the shouting of the spectators and the bill was finally killed.

Governor Rick Perry, who has vowed to have the bill proposed again on July 1st, made some remarks yesterday at the National Right To Life convention.  In his remarks he couldn’t help but make a point at Davis’ expense.

"Even the woman who filibustered the Senate the other day was born into difficult circumstances.  She was the daughter of a single woman, she was a teenage mother herself.  She managed to eventually graduate from Harvard Law School and serve in the Texas senate," Perry said Thursday in a speech to the National Right to Life Convention.  "It is just unfortunate that she hasn’t learned from her own example that every life must be given a chance to realize its full potential and that every life matters."

Critics (and Senator Davis) were quick to attack Perry for his words, saying he was “taking shots at a teenage, single mother.”  Davis said it's "not the governor's place" to comment about her.  But that’s not the case at all.  They were so busy attacking Perry that they were blind to (or ignored) his message.  Perry was saying that Ms. Davis was born into a bad situation - the same caliber of which she was speaking during her filibuster, and not only did she survive, she excelled.  He was complimenting her accomplishments after having had a difficult situation as a child.  I don’t, however, expect his critics to accept or even understand that because of his last sentence.

I would say this – if the truth stings a little maybe Ms. Davis, as Governor Perry insinuated, should take a closer look at herself and think about what might be today had her own mother adopted her views.

President Again Says Supreme Court Is Wrong

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court struck down a key provision of the 1965 Voting Rights Act which allowed the government to determine which states and counties can change voting laws and procedures.  Yesterday the President weighed in on what he thought of the decision:  “They made a mistake.”

In a 5-4 ruling, the Court said it could no longer enforce a requirement that states or localities with a history of discrimination must get federal government approval before changing their election laws or the way they hold elections.  The majority of justices made their decision based on progress in race relations, civil rights laws and states’ rights over 48 years since the law was originally passed.  The court is obviously more optimistic about the practice of civil rights than the president and some minority leaders in this country.

Just as he did after the court’s decision on corporate campaign donations in 2010, President Obama basically declared he knows more about Constitutional law than the learned justices sitting on that high bench.  The President didn’t say that he disagreed with the decision – he said the court made a mistake.  What arrogance one must possess to twice declare the Supreme Court of the United States was wrong in their decision.  He’s an elected official, put in office not for his experience and outstanding wisdom but more for his popularity.  He has no judicial experience.  And from what I’ve read he doesn’t have a whole lot of experience teaching Constitutional law either (since most of his former colleagues at the University of Chicago say he was rarely there.)

So as rare as it is – I'm going to share my thoughts on it.  Many liberals like to tout the changes in race relations and how only Republicans are racist these days.  And since there are, by polls, more liberal/progressives in the country these days, you would think there would be more understanding and tolerance of the Supreme Court’s decision.  But liberals and race oriented activists seem to think that Southern states can’t abide by civil rights laws.

The truth is that many liberals like to turn just about everything into a racist issue.  If you are a conservative/Republican and you criticize the current President, regardless of the reason, you’re a racist.  If you want the borders secured and want to stop people from entering the country illegally, you’re a racist.  If you want more people working and less people on government handouts, you’re a racist.  If you own a gun and believe it is your right as an American you’re a racist.  If you disagree with people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson you’re a racist.  If you use words like Constitution, anger, Chicago, food stamp President, Obamacare, you people, etc., you’re a racist.

I know this because I’ve been called a racist several times over the last few years for one or more of the things listed above.  I can always justify the things I say with facts and educated opinions but those who refuse to listen don’t care about that.  Many liberals are so busy screaming the R word they don’t hear the actual facts you’re giving them.  But I think that’s their intention.  If they scream the R word long enough and loud enough they think we’ll just be quiet.  I’ve long understood that one of the liberal mottos is “Don’t try to confuse me with facts – my mind is made up.”  The R word is merely self-defense against truth.

So why wouldn’t liberals disagree with the Supreme Court decision to allow states to determine their own voting laws when they could use it to keep a long standing racial issue going?  In the next election, if the states that were governed by that law go to the right then liberals can point and say “I told you so.”  (It won’t matter at all to them if the states went to the right in the last election.  That will be irrelevant.)

To the President I would say this – if you think the Supreme Court is so bad why not resign the Presidency and try to get yourself appointed as a justice?  I’m sure you could make it happen.  Those who got you to the White House would surely help you get there as well.  Or maybe you could sign an executive order giving yourself Supreme Court authority.  Then you could use your vast knowledge of the law to make the “correct” decisions and fix the wrong decisions made by the current court.  After all…  you seem to know best.

Climate Change, Green Energy and More Unemployment...

Ever notice how President Obama likes to make broad, generalized statements when talking about the popularity of one of his ideas?  He says things like “The majority of Americans agree…” when statistics, polls and other public opinions say otherwise.  The Affordable Care Act is a good example.  Before it passed the President was out campaigning for it and telling everyone that the American people wanted it passed, even though all polls showed that 72% of the American people were against it.

A few days ago the President made another of those broad, generalized statements when talking about climate change.  With the American economy in the toilet, job creation at a minimum, and more people on food stamps and other government assistance programs than ever before in history, the President is making the very controversial topic of climate change a priority.  Saying that “Scientists agree that climate change is real” (another statement that indicates no scientist disagrees with the theories if climate change when more and more are disagreeing every day), the President is going to once again bypass Congress and allow the Environmental Protection Agency to make regulations that will limit carbon emissions and invest more money into so-far failed green energy companies.

Really?  More investments in green energy?  Let’s look at that for a minute.  Her is a list of faltering or bankrupt green-energy companies:    (*Denotes companies that have filed for bankruptcy.)

Evergreen Solar ($25 million)*
SpectraWatt ($500,000)*
Solyndra ($535 million)*
Beacon Power ($43 million)*
Nevada Geothermal ($98.5 million)
SunPower ($1.2 billion)
First Solar ($1.46 billion)
Babcock and Brown ($178 million)
EnerDel’s subsidiary Ener1 ($118.5 million)*
Amonix ($5.9 million)
Fisker Automotive ($529 million)
Abound Solar ($400 million)*
A123 Systems ($279 million)*
Willard and Kelsey Solar Group ($700,981)*
Johnson Controls ($299 million)
Brightsource ($1.6 billion)
ECOtality ($126.2 million)
Raser Technologies ($33 million)*
Energy Conversion Devices ($13.3 million)*
Mountain Plaza, Inc. ($2 million)*
Olsen’s Crop Service and Olsen’s Mills Acquisition Company ($10 million)*
Range Fuels ($80 million)*
Thompson River Power ($6.5 million)*
Stirling Energy Systems ($7 million)*
Azure Dynamics ($5.4 million)*
GreenVolts ($500,000)
Vestas ($50 million)
LG Chem’s subsidiary Compact Power ($151 million)
Nordic Windpower ($16 million)*
Navistar ($39 million)
Satcon ($3 million)*
Konarka Technologies Inc. ($20 million)*
Mascoma Corp. ($100 million)

If you counted the number of companies you found there are 34 so far.  If you counted up the dollars wasted you’re better at math than I am but it’s in the billions of dollars.  That’s billions of taxpayer dollars wasted on these failed companies at the direction of the President.  And he wants to continue to spend more.  How stupid does he think we are?  Yeah…  that stupid.

Even though his Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax) plan died during his first term, the President is now poised to enact the same cost raising, job killing measures through the EPA, avoiding Congress altogether.  If he’s successful, as he promised – “energy costs will necessarily skyrocket.”  He told us this early in his first term and while the majority of the American people were against it, there were many who supported it.  When it died he let it go, with eyes on re-election.  Now he has nothing to lose.  He’s looking at legacy rather than sound programs.  He pushed Obamacare through and it will be part of his legacy.  If he can push sweeping environmental programs through the EPA that accomplish what he wants then that, too, will be part of his legacy – regardless of what it does to the country and the economy.

Says the Huffington Post:  “Tuesday's announcement…   was the first public confirmation that Obama plans to extend carbon controls to coal-fired power plants that are ‘currently pumping heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere.’”

"This is the holy grail," said Melinda Pierce of Sierra Club, an environmental advocacy group. "That is the single biggest step he can take to help tackle carbon pollution."

So with these upcoming EPA regulations the President intends to keep another campaign promise – to put coal fired power plants out of business.  And what is going to happen to those who will suddenly become unemployed - most of them already in poor communities?  Can they get jobs at failed green energy plants?  Can they simply live off of the government?  If that’s the case – is the government going to subsidize them enough to pay their skyrocketing energy bills?

This President continues to convince people that he really doesn’t care about the well-being of the United States.  Even other countries are beginning to realize it.  Why else would a man run for President of “the greatest nation in history” and then begin to “fundamentally change” it?

Nuclear Disarmament And Racism....

By now most of you have seen the commercial (or clips of it) made by Hollywood celebrities about complete, worldwide, nuclear disarmament.  It’s packed full of big name celebrities, each saying how the world needs to destroy their nuclear weapons so we can all live in peace and harmony.  One of them, I believe it’s Robert De Niro, says that it’s obvious if we have nuclear weapons it is our intent one day to use them.  Obviously “Bob”, doesn’t quite understand the purpose of our nuclear arsenal.  It’s about deterrence.

The first two atomic bombs, the only ones ever used, helped end World War II.  The power unleashed was devastating – so much so that Japan surrendered and no other country has ever had to use another one.  In the years following WW II, there was a race between super power nations to build as many nuclear weapons as possible.  Why?  To prevent themselves from ever experiencing what happened to Japan.

Over the years there have been tense moments concerning nuclear weapons but all nuclear nations today understand that using those weapons could and would most likely bring about the end of the world.  It’s currently a standoff.  One of the reasons we don’t want Iran to attain nuclear weapons is because their leadership cannot be trusted to not use them to be responsible with such power.

The thought of ridding the world of nuclear weapons is a nice fantasy.  In Fantasyland anything is possible.  But in reality – human nature will prevent such a fantasy from coming true.  There will always be people in positions of power throughout the world who want to control others and/or to conquer others.  Look at the Middle East.  Half the Muslim nations in the Middle East would drop a nuclear weapon on Israel today if they thought they could get away with it.  And if Iran gets a nuke, Israel is in serious danger.

President Obama is already reducing our nuclear arsenal to the point where it is less of a deterrent to other nuclear powers.  And let’s face facts.  Russia isn’t our friend.  Neither is China.  Pakistan is somewhat pulling away because of our fight against Al Qaeda.  (They did harbor Osama Bin Laden for several years.)  Here’s the straight scoop.   If the United States destroys its nuclear arsenal the only countries who will still have nuclear weapons will be….  all the other countries who currently have them.

Nuclear disarmament won't work and the reason is the same as the reason racism will never go away.  No matter how stupid it is to hate someone (or some country) because they are different than you, there will always be those who do just that.  There will always be aggression in the world and, as I said earlier, there will always be those who want to conquer others.  Islam comes to mind.  (The fantasy of socialism won’t work either for the same reason.  The human race will never see total equality among all people – not because of skin color or ethnicity but because of greed.  There will always be those who want more than they have and those who will do whatever is necessary to make it happen.)

Nuclear weapons are here to stay.  Let’s all hope that those in possession of them remain responsible, knowing if they’re used it will most likely destroy whoever used them as much as anyone else.  Oh – and the commercial?  Like other films produced in Hollywood the commercial is a nice fantasy.  But it’s too short for popcorn.

Happy Birthday, Christopher!

Today is my son’s birthday.  Christopher William Dunham Clark would have been 29 today.  He was taken from us that tragic day in February, eleven years ago.

His name always sounded so big when he was a little kid.  But he liked it.  As soon as he could pronounce it as a toddler he would tell you his full name when asked.  It was cute.

His mother chose his name for the most part.  I’m not sure where the name Christopher came from but William was a name of both of his grandfathers, and Dunham was a family name from his mother’s side.  I liked his name.

Even though this day carries a certain amount of pain with it, I celebrate it by remember what a wonderful son I had and what a loving and considerate person he was.  I’m so pleased that my book about him and for him is now being published, during his birth month, and I should have my copies any day.  How cool would it be if they were delivered today?

Given the constant possibility that life can change drastically in an instant, today I challenge each of you to tell your children and family members you love them.  Never pass up that chance because you never know, as Pat and I discovered, when that one time will be your last time.  It can happen to anyone.  It happened to me.

I miss you so very much, Christopher.  Happy birthday.  I wish you were here so I could do something wonderful for you but all I can do is let the world know that a great kid was born on this day in 1984.  I will see you again one day.  Until then, hug your mom for me and be happy cuz your old dad loves you.

Opposition To Late Term Abortion Racist??

On a news talk show on MSNBC the other day, Salamishah Tillet, an African-American woman who is an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania, says if you're white and you oppose late term abortion, that opposition to late term abortion is based in white supremacy and that it’s all based on President Obama being black.  Apparently she believes that prohibiting late term abortions somehow allows white women to have more babies, thus allowing the white population in the United States to grow.  Her statements would be laughable if she wasn’t serious about it.

According to recent statistics the abortion rate by race/ethnicity is as follows:

Non-Hispanic white women have abortions at a rate of 13 per 1000 women.
Hispanic women abortion rate is 33 per 1000.
The abortion rate for black women is 49 per 1000.

So even with my poor math skills, (and I’m no college professor) I can deduce that the prevention of any abortion would actually allow more black babies to be born than white.  Late term is no different.  If white women only had late term abortions it still wouldn’t make up the difference between the rate of white abortions versus black.

So the other thing one can easily conclude is that if white supremacists wanted to grow the white population through abortion they would simply encourage more black women to have abortions.  By current abortion statistics, whites would obviously flourish more than blacks because they abort less babies.

Some people will say anything to turn a subject into racism.  Abortion is not about race.  There are racial statistics that show the lopsidedness of it but that’s not about racism either.  It’s about actions, consequences and the choices made to deal with those consequences.  The interesting thing about the news show was that the four other people on the panel, plus the host, were all white and none of them refuted Professor Tillet's statements.  Either they agreed with her or they were simply afraid to disagree.

Abortion is certainly not about white supremacy.  Any fifth grader can do the math based on the statistics and come to that conclusion.  That’s what makes Professor Tillet’s statements so blatantly ridiculous.  It’s sad that she’s teaching impressionable young college students.

Heaven Forbid - Could Bill Mahar Be Right??

A few years ago, former comedian Bill Mahar made the statement “America is a stupid country.”  He said it because America just isn’t living up to his far left expectations.  I call Mahar a former comedian because at one time he used to be funny.  Now he’s a hate-filled liberal political pundit who says vile things about anyone and everyone he disagrees with politically or religiously.

It hurts me more than I can say to realize that in some ways he might be right.  Let’s look at the case of Jared Marcum in West Virginia.  Marcum, age 14, wore a t-shirt to school that featured an NRA logo, a picture of a rifle and the caption “Protect Your Rights.”  Apparently a teacher took offense to the shirt (there is no policy prohibiting it) and instructed Marcum to take it off or turn it inside out.  Marcum refused, which led to an argument between him and the teacher.

The police were called for some reason.  The officer instructed Marcum to remove the shirt or turn it inside out and he again refused.  Now some may say that at that point Marcum subjected himself to arrest but facts are facts.  The t-shirt Marcum wore was not against school policy.  There is nothing in the police report that says the shirt or his wearing of the shirt was illegal.  So the police officer had no grounds to instruct him to remove it.  He was eventually arrested for “disturbing the education process” and for “obstructing an officer,” the latter because Marcum refused to stop talking, according to court documents.

Marcum was suspended from school for a period of time and when he returned to class, he and several other students all wore the exact same shirt in a show of solidarity.  There were no arrests or suspensions that day.

The whole problem with this case is that a judge has allowed the prosecutor to proceed in a case against Marcum.  He faces a $500 fine and up to a year in jail if convicted of the charges.  For wearing a pro-gun t-shirt to school and offending a teacher?  There is nothing in the police report about Marcum making any threats or being violent in anyway.  But a judge is going to allow a 14 year old to be prosecuted for this?

So maybe Bill Mahar is correct.  America may be a stupid country – at least when it comes to the outrageous behavior of liberals about guns.  Kids are getting suspended from school for making finger guns and pop tart guns and even for telling other students they will be shot with a Hello Kitty bubble gun.  Now a 14 year old kid faces jail time for a t-shirt?  Where are we headed?

Happy Fathers' Day!

Fathers’ Day:   A celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.

There are a range of events which may have inspired the idea of Father's Day.  One of these was the start of the Mothers’ Day tradition in the first decade of the 20th century.  Another was a memorial service held in 1908 for a large group of men, many of them fathers, who were killed in a mining accident in Monongah, West Virginia, in December 1907.

A woman called Sonora Smart Dodd was an influential figure in the establishment of Father's Day.  Her father raised six children by himself after the death of their mother.  This was uncommon at that time as many widowers placed their children in the care of others or quickly married again.

Sonora was inspired by the work of Anna Jarvis, who had pushed for Mother's Day celebrations.  Sonora felt that her father deserved recognition for what he had done.  The first time Father's Day was held in June was in 1910.  Father's Day was officially recognized as a holiday in 1972 by President Nixon.

I have recently read articles by two different women who say they abhor Mothers’ Day and want the tradition discontinued because mothers aren’t any more special than any other women.  They say it discriminates against women who are childless.  And one of the authors was a mother herself.  I think that’s truly sad.

Why shouldn’t mothers be celebrated and honored with their own day?  They are, after all, responsible for populating the planet.  And if Mothers’ Day or Fathers’ Day is discriminatory, what about other holidays?  Should we discontinue Veterans’ Day because not everyone is a veteran?  Should we discontinue Memorial Day because not everyone has died in service to our country?  See what I mean?

For me Fathers’ Day is a joy and a curse.  My own father passed away last year and my son has been gone for 11 years now.  So I don’t have anyone for which to celebrate it.  However, my father was one of the greatest men I’ve ever known and I was blessed to have him as my dad.  I celebrate that even though he’s gone.  And though I had my son for only 17 years, I wouldn’t trade those 17 years for anything.  Without him I wouldn’t be a father.  Nor would I have had the chance to be a dad.  And being a dad, his dad, was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Fathers’ Day this year will be a celebration of another kind as well.  I find it a wonderful coincidence that my book about Christopher is finally available to the public in June, the month of Fathers’ Day and the month of his birthday.  I finished the book on June 19, 2010, which was Christopher’s 26th birthday.  Now, three years later, the book will finally be read by people who knew him, as well as people who didn’t.  Hopefully those who knew him will find some pleasant memories in it and those who never met him will get to know who he was.  Christopher was a great kid and I miss him every day.

For those fathers who have lost a child, try to have a happy day anyway.  You are not alone and your loss is felt by all of us in the club.  I know that doesn’t help much but it’s the best I can do.  There’s nothing fair or right about it.  I went to a funeral last week of the adult daughter of my wife’s best friend, who died as a result of a tragic accident.  The officiating pastor opened his remarks with “It’s no supposed to be this way.”  Truer words were never spoken and yet for many it is that way.  And we have no choice but to deal with it.

OK, before I get all melancholy let me just say “Happy Fathers’ Day” to all fathers everywhere.  Do me a favor today?  Hug your kid(s) and tell them you love them.  Then hug them again.  If you can’t physically hug them, at least call them and tell them you love them.  And if that’s not possible either – ask God to do it for you.  I believe He grants requests like that.  And take it from me – you never know when the opportunity to hug your child could be taken away.

Jeb Bush: Immigrants Are More Fertile.... ?

I have always like Jeb Bush.  I believe he’s a good man.  He was a decent governor when I lived in Florida and he came across as a solid, conservative Republican.  Except he’s really not a solid, conservative Republican.  He’s more of a progressive, even more than his brother.

The other day in a speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to the Majority conference (whatever that may be), he basically said the reason Republicans don’t get the Hispanic vote is because of their stance on immigration.  He then went on to say that “Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans.  Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families, and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity.”

I’m not sure where Bush gets his statistics on any of those statements but he seems to be sure of himself.  The part about intact families is probably true.  The intact American family is rapidly disappearing and there are many out to destroy it.  Wholesome family values are a threat to liberal -progressivism just as solid Christian values are.  They simply don’t fit into their “I want to do anything I desire without consequence” lifestyle.

As for the Hispanic vote , Governor, I can bring you up to speed on that.  Hispanics in the USA vote Democrat for the most part.  The immigration debate has nothing to do with it.  Going back to 1980, the Hispanic vote has always gone to the Democrats.

--1980 Jimmy Carter, 56% Ronald Reagan, 35%
--1984 Walter Mondale, 61% Ronald Reagan, 37%
--1988 Michael Dukakis, 69% George H.W. Bush, 30%
--1992 Bill Clinton, 61% George H.W. Bush, 25%
--1996 Bill Clinton, 72% Bob Dole, 21%
--2000 Al Gore, 62% George W. Bush, 35%
--2004 John Kerry, 58% George W. Bush, 40%
--2008 Barack Obama, 67% John McCain, 31%
--2012 Barack Obama, 71% Mitt Romney, 27%

Take particular note of the 1988 election.  In 1986, Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to all illegals in the United States so they could become citizens.  What did they do in 1988?  Gave more votes to the Democrat candidate.  Reagan got 37% of the Hispanic vote in 1984, then granted amnesty.  Your father then got 30% of the Hispanic vote just two years later.  How, exactly, did that amnesty thing work in favor of the Republicans?

Oh – and your brother got the highest percentage of the Hispanic vote in that 30+ year history.  And he didn’t do anything about immigration.  Duh.

Mr. Bush indicated that immigrants work harder than native born Americans.  I suppose in some instances that may be true but it’s not because Americans are incapable of hard work.  It’s because today’s young people have had so many things handed to them many of them don’t know or appreciate the value of hard work and the rewards it brings.  Work ethic is dying in America because children aren’t raised with the same values of the 50s and 60s, when the family was strong and children were taught that they get what they work for.  Even our government encourages people to sit back and relax and let Uncle Sam take care of them.  Welfare, unemployment and food stamps are at an all-time high in this country and have been for several years now.  And it’s not getting better.

So, Governor, there you have it.  It’s not about immigration.  It’s not about amnesty.  Many Hispanic voters, particularly low income voters, vote Democrat for the same reason other people do….   free stuff.   Democrats give out more entitlements, benefits and free money.  It’s not that difficult to figure out.  I got it and I was never a governor.  I don’t even have a college degree.

The immigration system in this country does need to be fixed.  People in the country illegally should be given a path to citizenship but it should not be an easy path.  Amnesty is NOT the answer.  They broke our laws and they need to make up for it somehow.  The greatest problem, however, still lies with the borders.  If we allow illegal aliens to become citizens, even following a difficult path to get there, and leave the borders unsecured, we’re not fixing anything.  We’re simply making room for more illegals to come in so we can do the entire process over again in 20 or 30 years.

I guess it’s not surprising that Bush has a softness for immigration.  His wife is a Mexican immigrant.  I’m sure that has something to do with it as I’m sure he has family in Mexico.  So I can give him a pass for his feelings on the subject.  There was a time I would have supported Bush for President.  What an historic day that would have been – a third Bush in the White House.  I don’t think I can support him now.  He is a moderate Republican at best leaning toward progressivism.  And he swears off conservatism as a bad thing.  So far he has said he won’t run for President.  That I can support.

Arming The Enemy....

It seems our President is close to giving the OK to begin arming the Syrian rebel forces fighting against President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

This announcement was good news for the Jabhat al Nusra Front, which is one of the rebel groups.  Its chief recently swore allegiance to Sheik Ayman al-Zawahri, who is generally regarded as having replaced Osama bin Laden as the head of Al Qaeda.

Sheik Omar Bakri, off Lebanon, says states must be governed by Muslim religious law and says al-Qaeda has assisted al Nusra for some time.

“They provided them early on with technical, military and financial support , especially when it came to setting up networks of foreign jihadis who were brought into Syria,” Bakri says. “There will certainly be greater coordination between the two groups.”

The United States government last December identified al Nusra as a terrorist entity.  And now we’re going to give them arms?

The Obama Administration has said that its goal is to send arms only to non-terrorist troops fighting in Syria.  Yeah.  Like that will work.  I’m sure he only intended to send arms to Mexico to non-violent drug cartels too.

Tamer Mouhieddine, spokesman for the Syrian Free Army, a force made up of Syrian soldiers who have defected, said the recent announcements would not change his group’s attitude toward al Nusra.

“The rebels in Syria have one common enemy — Bashar Assad — and they will collaborate with any faction allowing them to topple his regime,” he said.

So we’re now going to fight Al Qaeda on one front while helping and arming them on another.  Yup.  Makes sense to me.  We give war planes and tanks to the Muslim Brotherhood after they threaten to wipe out Israel.  Why should we not give weapons to Al Qaeda?  After all – they probably promised not to use them against us in the future…

The Eviction Of Innocence

My old friend (as in we've known each other a long time....) and former Air Force buddy wrote this.  He lives in the bustling metropolis of Tonawanda, New York, a booming city of 15,000 residents.  Life seems wonderful in that small town - until the wicked witch of Tonawanda moves in across the street.  Read on.  It's sad that in America today the government continues to bend to the will of the few (or the one) rather than the will of the majority...

Take the fight to the city council, Frank!  Don't let one miserable person destroy your paradise!

THE EVICTION OF INNOCENCE- It's a small city, barely over 4 square miles. It's a young city, not even 100 years old until 2014. Even the population is modest, just creeping above 15,000. The residents show up for the high school football game, and members of the council have counted among them graduates from that same high school. It's small town USA. It's the City of Tonawanda, the last little burgh at the western end of the Erie Canal, where it empties into the Niagara River. It is also my home.

I moved here in 1984 to live in a cheap apartment, until I could find a house in my hometown of Kenmore. I never left. This year, I celebrate over 2 decades of volunteer service to the Fire Department, where today I serve as a Captain and a Peace Officer. I stand with other members in my community who volunteer their time, energy and yes...money in the form of fuel and manhours, to help protect our neighbors and preserve our way of life. It's a close knit community, where there is barely 1 degree of separation between everyone who calls this little city 'home'.

In 2006, my wife and I relocated to Broad Street in the City, just a block from the old "Village of Tonawanda Square" where the gazebo plays host to musicians, wedding photographers and kids pretending they're on stage. I live across from a small park that runs between Broad and the next street over, Morgan. The park wasn't always there, as some 50 years ago, it served as a flood control ditch owned by the state. When proper storm drains were constructed, the State filled it in, and the City turned it into a green space. Slowly, over the years, a little bench, a little shelter, a swing set, a slide and jungle gym. It was in fact the deciding factor in buying this particular house. What could be better than a wonderful, green park and playground across the street from our front porch?

For several years, we have watched our children playing there. They neighbors get together and have and "opening" and "closing" barbeques of hot dogs and pot luck. It's where puppies are taught to fetch, kids learn to play basketball, young mothers can take a rest and see their children from anywhere in the park, have a picnic, play soccer and laugh! As it is a "break" in a double-sized block, the morning dog walkers use it as a cut-through, and never, ever let their dogs "use it". The users keep it clean, and roll the trash bin to the curb ourselves. We watch eachother's children, and take care of our 1/4 acre patch of grass. We petitioned for every repair, improvement and amenity. It is our park.

Barely 3 years ago, a woman purchased one of the 4 houses that rims the park. Almost immediately, she began to take the children to task. The kids are too loud. The kids are letting the ball hit the fence. There is an adult with a cigarette. The dogs are barking. The older kids are swearing. There are people walking through there after dark. The swings are squeeking. My children came home more than once, saying that they didn't want to play there because the neighbor was outside screaming and swearing at everybody. Then I come to find out that she also put cameras on the outside of her house, ALL aimed toward the playground, NOT on her property. Yes, she is videotaping minor children, 24/7, including audio. I had gone to see the cameras this past weekend, and confirmed that in fact, this was occurring. Much to my dismay, it is completely legal, as she is videotaping a "public area with no expectation of privacy."

Signs appeared in the fall last year. "Closed from dusk until dawn." Okay...I see that. "No dogs allowed"...Um...well, that's odd. "No Alcohol"...hmm...well, the cookouts will be a little less fun. "No smoking". Okay, another rule...sends the parents that smoke to the street, out of the park. "No swearing". What? The number of complaints of violations, ALL of which are from the sole resident, are resulting in citations being issued by law enforcement, which has no choice but to respond to her calls, and cite those in violation, pulling them away from important matters and patrolling.

Yesterday evening, as I pulled into my driveway, one of my neighbors came over. She informed me that yesterday evening at the council meeting, the neighbor had successfully lobbied to have the basketball court demolished and removed. It seems that the council and the Mayor have grown weary of her complaints, and as no other resident was there to defend the basketball court, it will be removed. At no time did anyone ever say anything, because nobody knew it was open to debate. It's a playground. It was there for decades before she moved in. She saw it before she made an offer on the house. Hey, you move in next to the airport, you're going to hear planes. You move in next to a basketball court, I think you're going to hear kids playing!

Our kids are in our view. They are playing games. They are making friends. They are learning sports. Their parents, neighbors, friends all get together and live as a community. They are not out boosting cars, doing drugs, or making babies. They are not walking the streets, idle minds, looking for "activity". They are wholesome, all American kids, being kids!

We are all signing a petition, and making calls. We are informing all the neighbors, but the simple fact is that the Mayor has issued a demolition order to the Parks Department, just to get this ONE woman to shut up.

What was her response to the council and mayor? Was it a 'thank you'? Nope. Her next words? "I need to complain about the grass."

Hop on your bicycle, and take your little dog with you!

"Muslims Are Above The Law Of The Land"

At an Islamic rally in Austin, Texas, earlier this year, a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) leader told a crowd that members of the Islamic faith should not be bound by American law.  “If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land,” said Mustafa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR branch.

The rally in Austin was part of a nationwide effort to hold “Muslim Capitol Day” events. The event included a speech by a representative of Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, who declared that Texas was an awful place and that Islam was the answer.

“Why did Muhammad say that he would not rest until the Koran was the law of the land?”

“Islam does not have Texas in the current condition, the current socio-political condition that Texas is in. What is this condition that Texas is in? Why is Texas on the brink, when you look at Texas in comparison to 50 states, education, percent of population graduating from high school is 46, high school completion rate is 46, the scholastic assessment rate, the SAT score in Texas is 47, the percentage of population with no health insurance in Texas is first, those without health insurance Texas is first. When you look at the state of a child in Texas, the percentage of uninsured children, Texas is first… etc etc

You shouldn’t be filing legislation against Islam.  When you look at Texas, Islam is not the problem. Islam is the solution. Allah Akbar.”

Now, there are those who would say that these are only the opinions of two men and do not represent Islam as a whole.  But I would ask you this – how many people in the crowd who heard these words stood up and disagreed or challenged them?  How many of those listeners decried the notion that Islam should be the law of the land in Texas and in the United States?  Want to make a bet that no one did?

The world’s obsession with political correctness and their ridiculous need to avoid offending Islam in any way is quickly leading to Islamic takeover of country after country.  Take a look at the riots in England these days because the British citizens are telling the Muslims, and the British government, that they will not be taken over.  It’s time the British government realize what’s happening or soon there will be no British government.

President Obama has already demonstrated his loyalty to Islam on more than one occasion.  During his “apology tour” in the Middle East and Europe after his election he remarked about America not being a Christian nation but also a Muslim nation, and he praised Islam for all it has done for the United States.  He assisted the Muslim Brotherhood in seizing control of Egypt.  Soon after that happened, that same Muslim Brotherhood declared Israel, our close ally and friend, to be their number 1 enemy.  Obama then sent F-16 fighters and other military equipment to Egypt.

The Obama administration is seriously debating whether or not to arm Syrian rebels in their fight against Bashar Hafez al-Assad.  The only problem is – those rebels are backed and manned by Al Qaeda.  So Obama is going to begin arming our enemy?

Look at what is happening in Michigan right now.  Public schools do not allow Christians to meet in the schools and have banned passing out Christian literature under the demands of CAIR, yet at the same time they have approved certain areas for Muslims to hold prayers and allow for liberal absences of Muslims on Fridays for Jumah Prayers.  Why is it political correctness when applied to Islam seems to always be in their favor?

“I think you can only blame Hamas for so long. It takes two to tango. And I think, you know, that what we’ve heard for a number of years is this terrorist, terrorist, terrorist, terrorist, Hamas, Hamas, Hamas, was not just Hamas.”

Herman Mustafa Carroll had defended terrorists in the past, perhaps on the same theory that Muslims are superior to the law of the land.  A few years ago he was quoted as saying:  “Look at the true cause of the terrorism. It’s not somebody is reading a book, reading a Quran, and then go out and say, ‘Well, the Quran told me to blow this up. I’m gonna blow it up.’ The cause, the root cause of terrorism is oppression. The root cause of terrorism is oppression.”

Really?  And what is Islam if not oppression?  It is the oppression of women.  It is the desired oppression of anyone who does not follow Islam.

The American people need to wake up to the truth about Islam soon.  Political correctness will be the downfall of the United States of America if we, the people, allow it to happen.

Thanks To All My Readers...!

I began this blog back in October of 2010 as a means of expressing myself on various topics.  While most of my posts are political in nature and/or current events, my readers have also seen some personal feelings, ranging from the tragic death of my son, to my father's funeral, to my religious beliefs.  You've also seen personal triumph as in my marriage to my wonderful wife, Arden, and the release of my book.  And there have been a lot of other posts in between.

Friday's post about the scandals in Washington was my 400th post in 32 months.  That's nearly 1000 days which means I've posted something about every 2-1/2 days since I started.  Apparently I had more to say than I thought.

I have had nearly 20,000 page views on my blog since I began, not counting my own.  The largest number of page views was on my blog called "We Are Not Guards" followed by the one about the BOP and the murder and suicide of two officers earlier this year.  The latter was not easy to write.

I'm overwhelmed by the number of people who read my blog on a regular basis.  I always enjoy the feedback as well - either on the blog page or on Facebook.  It's always nice when someone compliments you but it's also OK if they disagree, as long as they do it in a manner that is as respectful as I am to them.

I plan to continue doing it.  I've still got plenty to say and it will find its way out.  Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read what I write and for making my blog a success - at least for me.  I'm always grateful to have an audience.  I'll keep writing anyway but I'm happy when others read my ramblings just to see what I have to say.

I guess for number 401 I'll have to come up with something good.  Not much going on in the country or the world right now so I'll have to think about it for a while....   LOL!!

More Liberal BS... Talking About The Scandals Is Racist...

In the last nine months the Obama administration has become involved in at least 4 scandals.  It began with the Benghazi incident in which four Americans died and the administration did virtually nothing to come to their aid.  In fact, US military response teams and CIA teams were told to stand down and let it happen.

Then came the scandal about the Justice Department seizing phone records of reporters, specifically at the Associated Press and FOX news, as part of an investigation into leaks of classified information by a government employee.  Rather than investigate the employee, they chose to look at the records of the reporters to see who they had been talking to.  FOX News reporter James Rosen’s phone records and e-mails, and his parents, were seized under subpoena from the Justice Department.  Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress he knew nothing about it and that the investigation was being conducted by his assistant.  Yet Holder is the one who signed off on the subpoena, saying Rosen, FOX News’ chief White House correspondent, was suspected of espionage and was a flight risk.  Holder then said he was never going to prosecute a reporter for doing his/her job.  So he lied to the judge to get the subpoena and he lied to Congress when he said he knew nothing about the investigation.  Meanwhile, nothing became of the investigation of Rosen.

Days after the AP scandal, it was made public that the IRS has been targeting conservative political action groups, pro-Israeli groups, pro-life groups and Tea Party groups for special scrutiny into their requested tax exempt statuses.  In fact, the IRS admitted doing it.  The immediate reaction from the Obama administration was that these actions were taken by some “low level employees in Cincinnati, yet witness testimony before Congress in the last few days has led directly to Washington and very likely the Obama administration.

In the last few days it has been discovered that the National Security Administration (NSA) has been collecting phone and e-mail records of every Verizon customer in the country and maybe even the world.  This data gathering has been done by secret subpoena and has apparently been going on for quite a while.  It may have begun under the Bush administration.  The data collection program, named PRISM, is virtually unknown to most elected officials.  And the data is being stored by the federal government – for what purpose?

These four scandals are real and are serious.  Yet there are liberal pundits on TV and radio who are saying that each or all of them are merely ways to make racial attacks on an African American President.  Really?  Is that the best you can do?  Try to ignore and cover up screw-ups in the Obama administration by playing the race card? Do you ever watch the news besides your own all Barack, all the time channel?  Even the New York Times, one of the biggest Obama supporters ever, has said he is quickly losing his credibility.

I guess I’m not surprised.  Liberals typically try to distract from any negative truths by introducing something ugly or demeaning and trying to get people’s attention away from those negatives.  Why would this be any different?  What I sometimes wonder is just how long it will take until Obama supporters wake up and ask “How could he have screwed me like that?”

Contrary to popular liberal rhetoric, criticism of Barack Obama is not racist unless there is no validity to the criticism.  Then, maybe, it could be.  But when people who oppose him cite valid facts and his defenders can’t say anything except “You’re a racist”, it’s pathetic.  All I can say is – learn to deal with the truth.  The truth is – your Messiah is incompetent and a liar.  Yet you support him…

How Do You Say Good-bye? A true story of overcoming the death of a child.

It has been two and a half years since I wrote the last words to my book, "How Do You Say Good-bye?  A true story of overcoming the death of a child."  Today, June 6, 2013, the dream of publishing it has become a reality.  The official release date to book stores will be September 9, 2013, however, it can be purchased now, pre-release, from Tate Publishing at the following web site.

http://www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore/book.php?w=9781625108135.

The publishing company has informed me it will take two to three weeks for delivery.

Thanks to all who have followed it and asked about it and thanks, in advance, for ordering a copy.  I'm honored that you want to read it.  If you enjoy it, please share the book and the website with others.  (Share the website anyway if you wish...!)  :)

Thank you one and all!

IRS, Eric Holder and Susan Rice...

As the mainstream media and Democrats continue to pretend there’s nothing to it, the Congressional investigation into the IRS targeting conservative groups continues to uncover more and more evidence of wrongdoing that stretches all the way to the White House.

When the scandal first became public, Jay Carney (the administration's "paid liar" according to Congressman Darryl Issa) categorically denied that the White House had any knowledge of the IRS actions.  Unfortunately for Jay, the Congressional investigation has revealed that the White House did know about it and, in fact, may have been deeply involved.  IRS employees called to testify have said that as far as they were told, all files they forwarded to the White House were requested by same.  We now know that the White House Legal Counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler, and former White House Chief of Staff, Jack Lew, were informed of the targeting last year, prior to the election.  It has also been revealed that President Obama’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, was aware of the IRS targeting.

It is now known that Stephanie Cutter was in many of the meetings the IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman.  In Cutter’s own words on Jake Tapper’s show recently: "I was in them with him so there was nothing nefarious going on."

Now I don’t know about you but that makes me feel much better.  After all, Stephanie Cutter was involved with the Obama Super PAC that made the commercial, during the campaign, in which steelworker Joe Soptic recounted how his wife died of cancer after he lost his health insurance when his plant was shuttered after a takeover by Bain Capital and other companies working with Romney's private equity firm.  Every bit of it turned out to be lies.

Is there a chance the President didn’t know about it?  I would say yes.  Think about it – if members of the Obama inner circle were directing (or at least encouraging) the IRS to target conservative political action groups during the race for the presidency, why would they tell the President?  If they told him he could become entangled in an investigation and end up taking the same route as Richard Nixon.  (He still could, by the way.)  If they didn’t tell him if gives him plausible deniability.  Even if some of his staff are charged, it’s very possible he can honestly deny knowledge of any wrongdoing because his staff protected him during the campaign.  What I don’t believe, however, is that after the election they didn’t tell him and that he didn’t know about it at all until it became public.

Stephanie Cutter telling us that “nothing nefarious was going on” during the meetings of the IRS Commissioner and the White House (notice they never say who in the White House?) is about as trustworthy as President Obama appointing Eric Holder to investigate the Justice Department in the AP/press phone records seizure.  Holder testified before Congress that he knew nothing about the investigation, that it was his assistant who was in charge of it.  Yet the Congressional investigation has revealed that Eric Holder himself signed off on a search warrant for FOX News’ White House Correspondent James Rosen’s phone records and private e-mails.  In the warrant, which was denied by two judges prior to being approved by a third, Rosen was depicted as “a possible co-conspirator” and “a flight risk” in violations of the Espionage Act.

The Justice Department later said they were never going to go after Rosen with espionage charges.  So it seems that not only did Holder lie to Congress about knowledge of the investigation but that he also lied to the judge to get the warrant approved.  And this from our Attorney General?  (Really, is anyone surprised?)

In early news this morning, it has been announced that National Security Advisor Tom Donilon will be stepping down and UN ambassador Susan Rice will be appointed to take his place.  It seems Susan Rice will finally reap her reward for her blind loyalty to the President.  Rice, who is better known for putting out false information about Benghazi than for being a UN Ambassador, does not have to be confirmed by the Senate to become the National Security Advisor so the President will finally be able to pay her back without any real opposition.  But can someone, anyone, tell me what qualifications she has to be the National Security Advisor?  Wait, what am I saying?  Qualifications and experience don’t matter with this administration….

"Without Parental Consent" - The New Government M.O.

On May 22 and 23, 2013, three schools in Polk County, Florida, performed iris scans on students in a high school, a middle school and an elementary school as part of a new security program being implemented by the school board.  The Polk Country School Board hired Stanley Convergent Security Solutions to perform the scans on children as young as 6 years old.  There was one major problem however – the school board didn’t notify parents until May 24th, two days after the scans had been completed.  The scans were all completed on the students without parental consent.

A letter from the school board to the parents was supposed to be sent out before the scans were taken however, "due to a secretary having a medical emergency," the letters were sent to parents after all scans were completed.  Parents received the letters from their children on Friday afternoon after 3pm.  When they called the school to ask about the scans the phones went unanswered.  Due to the long holiday weekend, it was Tuesday before they could obtain any information.  At that time they were told the program had been cancelled.  When asked about the actual scan results and who was in possession of them, the school board stated that the security company had “been instructed to destroy them.”  There is no confirmation that the destruction actually took place.

Principals of the schools have said they did nothing wrong but were merely following the instructions of the school board.  (Gee – why does that sound familiar…?)  Many parents are outraged by the school board’s blatant disregard for parental consent and are considering suing the school board.  The school board has contacted their attorneys for guidance.

This comes only about 8 months after the school board in New York City approved schools handing out “morning after” pills to girls as young as 14 without parental consent.   Supposedly in the best interest of the child (preventing teen pregnancy) the morning after pill program is just one more way the government is aggressively intruding into the lives of Americans and taking away parental rights.  Since when does the government have the authority to decide non-emergency health care issues for a child?

The most common excuse is “Teenagers are going to have sex regardless of what society or their parents say.  This will prevent unwanted pregnancies.”  But since sexual contact with a child under the age of 16 is statutory rape in every state in the union, should the government really be making it easier for them to do it without fear of consequences?

One other is concerning the safety of the morning after pill…  safety.  To my knowledge there is no medication on Earth that has no side effects or to which someone cannot have an adverse reaction.  So how is it that school officials can hand out medications to children without access to their complete medical history and without a doctor’s approval?  How odd is it that in a city which tried to outlaw 32 ounce soft drinks because they’re dangerous to the health of its citizens, a child can get medications from their schools, without parental consent, and that’s OK.  New York gets curiouser and curiouser….

Anti-Muslim Posts May Be Civil Rights Violation....?

US Attorney Bill Killian:  “Posting something mean about Muslims on social media might be a criminal action under federal civil rights laws.”

Wait….   huh?

Bill Killian, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and an Obama appointee, along with Kenneth Moore, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Knoxville Division, will speak at a special meeting in Manchester, Tennessee, next week to provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian told The News Monday. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”  Killian said Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal jurisdiction.

Aside from direct threats against a group of people, regardless of who they are, what is criminal about someone voicing their disagreement, contempt, or even downright hatred of Islam and Muslims in a free society?  Or are we not still free?

The First Amendment specifically states:  “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

I’m not understanding how someone’s words against Muslims constitutes a violation of civil rights unless Muslims have more rights than the average American.  People in this country, including Muslims, disagree with, and express contempt and even hatred for Christians on a daily basis?  Are they protected?  It seems they’re not – at least they’re not mentioned by the government as being protected from hate speech.  Only Muslims seem to have that protected status.

"This (meeting) is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion, Killian said.  He also mentioned that Coffee County Commissioner Barry West had posted a photo of a man aiming a shotgun with the caption "How to wink at a Muslim."

“If a Muslim had posted ‘How to Wink at a Christian,’ could you imagine what would have happened?” Killian told The Tullahoma News on Tuesday. “We need to educate people about Muslims and their civil rights, and as long as we’re here, they’re going to be protected.”

I can answer Mr. Killian’s question about what would have happened if that picture had been posted about Christians.  Absolutely nothing.  The government, including Mr. Killian, would have said it was free speech and nothing more.

"He’s just wrong," said Floyd Abrams, a First Amendment attorney.  "The government may, indeed, play a useful and entirely constitutional role in urging people not to engage in speech that amounts to religious discrimination. But it may not, under the First Amendment, prevent or punish speech even if it may be viewed as hostile to a religion.  And what it most clearly may not do is to stifle political or social debate, however rambunctious or offensive some may think it is."

So it seems the federal government will now be deciding what is and isn’t protected speech when it comes to religion.  The far reaching implications of this could be that Christian pastors could face civil rights charges for preaching against the evils of Islam as guided by the Bible - even as the Quran tells Muslims that non-believers should be converted or killed.  When is American going to wake up and realize that Islam is in the process of taking over the world and we are helping them do it.  Think I’m exaggerating?  Take a close look at Europe today…
