And all it took to begin was a single term of a President the Washington establishment didn't like.</p><p>When Donald Trump won the 2016 election the left not only went nuts, but began planning their assault on the Constitution, our legal system, and our election system.</p><p>First, they impeached President Trump for a perfectly legal (and justified) phone call that Trump, as the President-elect, made to the President of Ukraine. Even with Democrats holding a majority of both the House and the Senate, he was acquitted. So they began plan B.</p><p>The Democrats also attacked and railroaded Mike Flynn in a different assault, but that's another story for another time.</p><p>Over the next three years the Democrats planned, and then executed the first and most openly covert steal of a national election in history. Aided greatly by a pandemic, partisan judges in swing states, Democrat controlled polling places, questionable counting procedures, and billions of dollars spent paying people for ballot harvesting, they managed to snatch the election in a manner that convinced courts there was no reason even to hear evidence challenging the election results. As I have said before - Democrats aren't stupid.</p><p>Then, after Trump was no longer President, they held an impeachment hearing, charging him with incitement of an insurrection for the events that occurred at the U.S. capitol on January 6, 2021. (No legal charges of insurrection were ever filed against Trump or any other person.) Democrats again failed to convict him, thus rendering the entire proceeding futile, and a waste of time and taxpayer money.</p><p>Trump and his attorneys, along with witnesses to the irregularities of counting procedures in swing states, filed numerous cases citing election interference with various courts. Judges, including Supreme Court Justices, refused to hear evidence. They didn't say there wasn't evidence, but only refused to hear it. Those are two different things. Personally, after the Bush/Gore fiasco, I think the SCOTUS simply refused to get involved in an election dispute. But that's me.</p><p>The highly partisan January 6th Committee, even after the prime time drama and professional TV production, failed to produce any real results. Yet in December of 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court and the Maine Secretary of State, citing provisions of the 14th Amendment, found Donald Trump guilty of insurrection, without charges, presentation of evidence, an opportunity for a defense, a jury.... without any due process whatsoever, which is also a provision of the 14th Amendment. Both entities decided Trump could not be on their state primary ballots, because of his (supposed) guilt, enforcement pending appeal to a higher court. Both decisions are in blatant disregard of the Constitution.</p><p>Donald Trump, and Trump Derangement Syndrome, have caused Democrats, aided by the left-wing media, to manipulate and/or compromise our Constitution and our legal system in their efforts to control election results. Leftist media pundits praised the decisions to remove Trump from the ballot, many saying Trump's guilt is obvious. Any honest and reputable media outlet would be challenging the Democrats' violation of a citizen's Constitutional rights rather than supporting and praising such abuse of power. </p><p>What those praising the unconstitutional actions against Trump don't seem to understand is that if courts and politicians will ignore the Constitutional rights of a former President to get their desired results, they will do it to anyone who dares to oppose them. That includes Donald Trump. U.S. Attorneys have charged about 1000 people with various crimes, from trespassing to assault, but no one has been charged with insurrection. The closest thing to insurrection was a Proud Boy who was convicted of sedition. But sedition is not mentioned in the 14th Amendment. And that man isn't running for office.</span></div><p style="text-align: justify;">2) Insurrection against the United States is a federal crime and does not fall unde the jurisdiction of state courts. Secretaries of State, whether federal or state level, have no authority whatsoever to decide guilt or innocence in a legal matter. Have you noticed both Colorado and Maine have put their rulings on hold pending a challenge in a higher court? In their rulings Colorado referred to an appeal to the SCOTUS and the Secretary of State in Maine referred to "an appeal to a superior court." They know their decisions are faulty, with no basis in law.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">3) Section One of the 14th Amendment says "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Officials in both Colorado and Maine have ruled to deprive Donald Trump of his liberty to run for President of the United States without due process. Both have declared him guilty of a federal crime, of which he has never been charged, without due process of law and without jurisdiction. As such, the Colorado Supreme Court Justices who voted to remove Trump from the state primary ballot, as well as the Maine Secretary of State, should be individually charged with intentionally conspiring to deprive Donald Trump of his liberties in blatant violation of the 14th Amendment. The Amendment they used to remove him from the ballot should be used against them in a real court.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Both Colorado and Maine have stated that voters cannot write in Trump's name for President because Trump has been found by them to have committed insurrection. Both Colorado and Maine are depriving Trump voters of their right to vote for the candidate of their choice without the legal authority to do so. I know Trump's attorneys are filing appeals in both cases but I hope Trump voters in both states sue those states for said deprivation of rights again, under the 14th Amendment. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">I realize as of yesterday the Colorado Secretary of State said Trump would remain on the ballot. But as I said yesterday, I believe that to be a ploy... a calculated gamble, intended to avoid a Supreme Court ruling on the matter so they can remove Trump from the ballot on a date closer to the primary so he has no time to appeal before the election. In fact, the Palestinians in Gaza were given their complete freedom/separation from Israel in 2006. They proceeded to elect a terrorist organization as their government. That act is where the oppression began, but the oppression was by Hamas.</p><p>When the Israelis left Gaza they left behind the ability for Gazans to grow their own food (greenhouses), a water supply and a power supply. The Gazan people possessed the ability to support themselves - until their newly elected government allowed those systems to fail.</p><p>Palestinians have long had the freedom to leave Gaza - at least until October 7, 2023. They could work in Israel, shop in Israel, seek medical attention, and even live there. They choose to remain in the cesspool (of their own making) that is Gaza. But they believe they have a right to the entire country that is Israel. Except the Jews, historically, have been there far longer.</p><p>The Jews were conquered many times in history but the land has been theirs since the time of Abraham and, more recently, since Moses led them out of Egypt in 1300 BC. It's the main reason the land was given back to them in 1948.</p><p>Historically, the Palestinians have never had a valid claim on the land that is now Israel. History shows that the Philistines arrived from the Aegean region and settled on the Southern coast of Judea (Gaza) in 1100 BC. As they spread their wings militarily they were defeated by David (who slayed Goliath) in 1020 BC.</p><p>The Philistines were still in Gaza while the Jews controlled the rest of the area. The Romans took the region in 63 BC. When the Romans put down the Judean revolt in 132 AD, they renamed the area Palestine (after the Philistines) in an attempt to minimize Jewish identification with the land of Israel.</p><p>Despite what modern, left-wing, revisionist history teaches, historic timelines verify that the land of modern day Israel was controlled by the Jews far longer than any Palestinian claim. Young people today are being taught false history in school, and they demonstrate it on a regular basis. It was filmed in 1960. There were obvious blunders in the show that I never noticed as a kid. Zebras, a tiger, ostriches and an African elephant on an island in the West Indies. I guess they weren't to worried about authenticity back then. The girls enjoyed it.</p><p>I couldn't help but wonder when Disney will remake this movie to their newly adopted woke standards.</p><p>If the new Disney is true to form, the Asian pirate's will become a diverse group of all skin colors and ethnicities and the "Swiss" family Robinson will be black or Hispanic. One of the boys will be changed to a girl, or the girl rescued from the pirates will become a boy so Disney can work a same sex relationship into the movie.</p><p>Some may think this is satire... and to an extent, it is. But at the same time it's not. Look what they did to Snow White, Buzz Lightyear and The Little Mermaid. Apparently Disney worries about being woke more than profits because they've lost $900 million in the last couple of years from their woke movies.</p><p>Many woke minded people will say "That's wonderful! Disney doesn't care about profits!" Except it won't last long. I doubt Disney stockholders are pleased about it. Look for some major changes soon.</p><p>"Go woke, go broke," seems to be the norm these days. I'm not sure why corporations don't get that. Anheuser Busch seems to be getting it. Bud Light doesn't seem to be rebounding. AB is still losing money, along with Disney.</p><p>Hey, Disney... here's an idea. Stop destroying your classic movies and simply create new ones for your woke audiences. The Dallas Morning News said the people who were killed at the Allen Mall "weren't killed because evil walked among them." They blame the gun.... and showed their shear, biased stupidity.</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 17px;">Simple fact: Guns only kill when aimed and fired by humans. I've trained with, used and owned guns for over 40 years. None of my guns have ever harmed anyone. Why, if the Dallas Morning News says the gun is the culprit? How is that possible? Simple... guns don't operate themselves.</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 17px;">After the mall incident, the Texas House passed a bill raising the age of purchase of a gun to 21. The mall shooter was 33 years old. Someone explain how that new bill would have prevented the incident? Beside the fact that the bill is unconstitutional, since owning a gun as an adult is a Constitutional right and by law, 18 year olds are legal adults. You cannot legally pass laws that deprive specific groups of their Constitutional rights.</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 17px;">Whether or not 18 year olds should be legal adults is another topic. But it is the law of the land. If you're legally authorized to vote and defend you're country you are legally allowed to own a gun. The Texas bill, if signed into law (highly doubtful), will be challenged in court and anulled if heard by a judge who follows the Constitution.</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 17px;">Gun control is not the answer and will never be the answer. That's simple fact. Texas is going to improve their mental health programs. That's the way to go. Preventing people from wanting to kill is far better than trying to prevent law-abiding citizens from being able to protect themselves and their families.</span><br />

Crime is rampant and homeless people legally defecate in the streets. Crime in San Francisco has increased exponentially. Police don't even respond to car burglaries and other petty crimes. Drug dealing in the streets is rampant, both in the city and the suburbs, according to the mayor. And her police department is hurting for officers. Part of the training is the "proper use of pronouns" so no one gets offended. This might be the single, most stupid "woke" agenda I've ever seen.</p><p>Besides the usual "they/them," non-gender specific pronouns, cadets are being instructed not to use pronouns like "mom and dad." The reason? There are fellow cadets who may not have had both parents and they could be offended or hurt by these words that could make them feel excluded.</p><p>I'm sorry... (not really)... that's just stupid. A grown adult who gets their feelings hurt because someone else had both parents and they didn't has no business in military service. Imagine one of these pampered snowflakes being captured by the enemy. All their captors will have to do is tell them "You didn't have a mommy (or daddy)" and they will be spilling information freely. Why? Because that's how they were allowed to react at the Academy. They're being taught that their feelings matter, even in the military. What a crock.</p><p>I was stationed at the Air Force Academy for four years when I was in the Air Force. I wasn't a cadet but a medic at the base hospital. I was there in 1979, the last class to graduate all men. LCWB (Last Class With Balls) became the unofficial class motto. Sexist? Yep. Disrespectful? Probably. But you know what? No one got really upset about it. There were no diversity classes, no crying rooms or puppies. Seniors were told to keep their mouths shut about it. So they did... publicly.</p><p>The way the Academy is today makes me wonder if crying rooms and puppies have infiltrated the campus. Will our future pilots be trained how to resist the wrong pronouns in survival training? It's OK to say you support and accept all people even if you really don't.</p><p>2. It's OK to tell the world you can't absorb 50 illegal immigrants even when you profess to be a sanctuary for them (and have hundreds of empty hotel rooms.)</p><p>4. It's OK to condemn border states for relocating tens of thousands of illegal immigrants for which they truly do not have the resources to handle even as you remove 50 of them from your neighborhood in less than 48 hours (claiming a lack of resources in one of the most posh places in America. Did I mention the empty hotel rooms?)</p><p>6. Red flag laws authorize law enforcement to confiscate all firearms from an individual if they (law enforcement) suspect the gun owner is mentally ill or percieved to be a threat to someone or to the community. This confiscation would be done without due process based on only the law enforcement agency's disgression. This is wrong.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Last year, parents concerned about curricula in public schools began speaking out at public school board meetings. The main issue for parents was gender identity issues and graphic sexual content being taught to children in public schools, most particularly elementary school children. Many meetings got heated when school board leaders refused to allow parents to speak their minds. A few meetings had incidents of violence with at least one father being arrested after refusing to leave a meeting, and some threats were made in anger.</p>
<p dir="ltr">At some point the National School Board Association wrote a six page letter to the Department of Education calling protesters domestic terrorists and accusing them of hate crimes. The letter was given to the Justice Department. Attorney General Merrick Garland, while not actually validating the labels publicly, ordered the FBI and U.S. Attorneys nationwide to investigate protesting parents and "find ways they can work to prevent violence and threats.</p>
<p dir="ltr">If a parent is labeled a domestic terrorist by the Justice Department for speaking angrily to a school board, red flag laws would allow law enforcement to confiscate any firearms they might own and it would be up to the individual to get them back through court proceedings. In other words... guilty, without charges or trial, until they can prove otherwise, which is unconstitutional.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Red flag laws would also allow law enforcement to confiscate weapons from an individual whom someone else (family member, ex-spouse, angry neighbor, etc.) reports as being mentally unstable... again, without due process.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I have no issue with firearms being taken away (temporarily) from a demonstrably mentally ill person if mental health professionals and judges are willing to put their names on documentation saying a person's firearms need to be temporarily removed because the person has legally been declared mentally unstable and a threat to himself/herself and/or others. Some will disagree with me but that's at least a legal baseline that has been established, allowing for due process to proceed.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Many people in this country already believe that most law enforcement officials abuse their power daily yet they would allow law enforcement to apply red flag laws at their discretion. He likely knows some of the victims' families. I don't doubt his sincerity in the words he spoke at the White House the other day. I know how I'd feel if it was my hometown. That said - I agree with him on some things and disagree with others.</p><p>He called for more effective mental health treatment. I agree. He called for securing our schools. I agree. He called for resisting sensationalized media coverage. I agree. He called for restoring family values. I agree.</p><p>He called for raising the purchase age for rifles to 21. That wouldn't effect me personally but if they're going to do that they need to raise the age for the draft and the age for voting to 21 as well. At 18 you can't smoke but you can die for your country. You can't drink a beer but you can vote for your countries leaders. You can't buy a handgun but you can buy a car. If you raise the legal age for some things raise it across the board. Make everything 21.</p><p>Some Democrats want the voting age lowered to 16. You can destroy an entire country with voters who have no idea what they're doing. That obvious today. Scientists say the brain isn't fully developed until age 21. Yet we send 18 year olds to fight wars. If this new bill becomes law a 20 year old kid returning from a war won't be able to own a gun for personal protection.</p><p>Mcconaughhey called for Red Flag laws. I have issues with those unless they are carefully worded to avoid abuse. Red Flag laws allow authorities to confiscate firearms from an individual or household when they or someone else suspects mental illness to be present. They ignore due process or even medical diagnosis and documentation of a problem. If a judge and a mental health professional aren't willing to sign a legal document saying a person's firearms need to be removed for safety reasons then confiscation of those weapons is unconstitutional. Do we really want to give law enforcement the power to make that decision on their own?</p><p>McConaughhey called for "more responsible gun ownership." He didn't elaborate on what he meant by that but didn't call for more "gun control," banishment of certain weapons or magazines, or more laws restricting the rights of law abiding citizens, except for the age thing. I'm all for responsible gun ownership. Let's face it - school shooters aren't exactly responsible gun owners.</p><p>Matthew McConaughhey grew up in Texas and has moved his family from California to Texas in recent years. Calling for a ban on "assault weapons" (a misnomer label created by the left-wing media and left-wing politicians) and large capacity magazines, Biden said the assault weapons ban "greatly reduced mass shootings" and the at when it was allowed to expire "mass shootings tripled." He went on to say that 9mm ammunition is "high caliber ammunition that will blow a lung out of the body." He insists he was told that by an ER physician.</div><p></p><p dir="ltr">None of those first three things have any merit. Simple research shows that during the weapons/magazine ban mass shootings stayed steady at an average of 17 per year. Sure, that's a lot. But banning "weapons of war," (so called by people who know nothing about firearms) did not reduce mass shootings eve a little bit. And when the ban expired mass shootings increased... to an average of 19 per year. Hardly triple. It's a blatant lie meant to play on the emotions of the American people. And it seems to be working.</p>
<p dir="ltr">A 9mm bullet is a small caliber round that can be fired by a pistol or a rifle. It has less mass than a .38 caliber bullet and far less than a .44 or .45. It is not really a high velocity round, such as a .223, but can pass completely through the body if it's a jacketed round. It leaves a small hole, about the size of a pencil eraser, both front and back. And while it can easily perforated a lung it cannot and will not remove a lung from the body. That is impossible. Even a .223 round, the most common AR-15 round, does not do that. And no honest ER doctor would ever say it does. If a doctor actually said this to Biden, which I highly doubt, he was telling Biden what he wanted to hear.</p>
<p dir="ltr">During my career I was on four different special operations teams and trained regularly with M-16 rifles, 9mm rifles and 9mm pistols. I am very familiar with their operation and with what each bullet can do. Joe Biden is a liar. He lies intentionally in an attempt to push his anti-gun agenda forward.</p><p dir="ltr">If you're going to make a sound decision about gun control at least educate yourself to the truth about guns instead of simply taking the word of politicians and the media as truth. He further stated "You will not stop us in the House and you will not stop us in the Senate. If you filibuster we will abolish it. If the Supreme Court objects we will add (justices) to it. We will do whatever it takes to end gun violence... whatever it takes."</p>
<p dir="ltr">When asked to define a weapon of war he said "Semiautomatic weapons." When he was told that would include most guns in the United States his response was "semiautomatic does not include handguns," then refused to answer any more questions.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Really? Semiautomatic does not include handguns? Another example of a Democrat who knows nothing about firearms wanting to take yours away.</p>
<p dir="ltr">In other news, part of the latest gun control legislation is said to contain gun storage rules that include all guns being secured, unloaded, in a secure gun safe. Empty magazines must be stored separately and ammunition must be securely stored in a separate room. Those rules effectively eliminate home defense with a firearm unless one can get the perpetrator to wait for a minute or two while you gather all components necessary to shoot an intruder. I doubt the intruder will agree with that but hey... you can always beg.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I don't know any gun owner, who owns guns for home protection, who is going to do this. So how does the government enforce It? Will they be sending federal agents on compliance teams to your homes with warrants to enter the premises and verify you're following the rules? And if you're not, will they have confiscation authority? Will they be heavily armed in case someone resists? If not, how else would they enforce the law?</p>

The total number killed with all rifles is just over 300. The proposed solution? Ban AR-15s and the magazine's. Don't let anyone have them. Problem solved, right?</p><p>FBI statistics show more people are beaten to death every year than are shot with rifles of any kind, around 1000.</p><p>An average of 10,500 people die every year in the United States from alcohol related traffic accidents and 43,000 total, including alcohol related, die in traffic accidents. What do we do about such "mass killing?" We take away the drunk driver's ability to drive by taking his/her operator's license and often putting them in prison. We sometimes charge the guilty party in a fatal accident even if they were not drinking. Know what we don't do? We don't ban the type of vehicle they were driving and prevent law-abiding citizens from owning that vehicle.</p><p>Why not? Motor vehicles are far more deadly than guns. They kill over 100 times the number of people killed by AR-15s every year. And anyone 18 or over can buy one of these dangerous weapons without parental consent or a background check. Yet no one is condemning vehicles. Why? "It's because the person driving is responsible, not the vehicle." Well, duh.</p><p>Banning AR-15s and magazines will not prevent shootings, single or mass. There are enough guns, legal and illegal, that a person bent on committing a heinous gun crime will find a way to acquire his/her gun of choice. The Sandy Hook shooter killed his mother and stole her guns. Where there is a will there is always a way.</p><p>Democrats, and now some Republicans, are pushing "sensible gun control." But that sensible gun control includes banning certain weapons and magazines. And now Biden is dishonestly demonizing 9mm ammunition, telling everyone it's a "high caliber round," which is simply untrue. The only reason he would say this is to plant the idea that 9mm ammunition should be banned. And he has to lie about it because 9mm handguns are the most popular guns in the country and are used to kill up to 60 percent of victims killed by firearms. (FBI) That is not "sensible gun control."</p><p>Contrary to the left-wing narrative that gun violence can be directly blamed on guns and/or Republicans, easy excuses that allow leftists to ignore the true causes of said violence, there are actually only two real reasons it occurs. Those reasons are 1) evil and 2) mental illness. People of all political persuasion and people who join hate groups have one or both of those afflictions if they decide to murder for their beliefs. Anyone who commits mass murder, whether the victims are adults, children, or a combination of both, are at the very least mentally ill. People who murder children are evil as well.</p><p>Here's the bottom line. A gun and/or a motor vehicle are no danger to anyone until they are operated by the wrong human hands. That's just fact. <p dir="ltr">Joe Biden's handlers are telling him that a 9mm bullet is a "high caliber round" that will"blow a lung clear out of the body." Anyone who knows anything about firearms knows that is absolutely false. So why is he saying it? That's an easy question to answer.</p><p dir="ltr">The 9mm semiautomatic handgun is the weapon of choice for most law-abiding Americans. It is the most common among those who carry concealed and, contrary to what the Biden administration and the media would have you believe, it is the weapon used the most in all shootings in the United States, school shootings included. (That information is not difficult to find.) Because it's the most common firearm Biden wants to outlaw it, or at least outlaw the ammunition. And before anyone says "He doesn't want to take your guns," understand what he said. He didn't talk about guns, he talked about how no one needs high caliber 9mm ammunition. He wants to make it impossible to buy 9mm rounds.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Armalite Rifle Model #15 (AR-15) is sensationalized because of its appearance. (AR does not stand for "assault rifle.") It resembles a military weapon therefore the media labeled it an "assault rifle" even though it does not function like a military weapon. It functions like a semiautomatic handgun - pull the trigger and one bullet is discharged and another is fed into the chamber. One trigger pull, one bullet fired. A revolver puts a new round in front of the barrel with every trigger pull and can be fired just as quickly as a semiautomatic. And a person familiar and practiced with a speed loader can reload a revolver in just a few seconds.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Biden is declaring war on the Second Amendment in his own bumbling way. He has stated more than once that the Second Amendment "is not absolute." He aims to change or abolish it if he can. Even most Democrats are smart enough to understand the chaos that would ensue should Biden, or any President, attempt outlaw firearms. This is my opinion only - no one has to agree with me.</p><p>Some people are calling Kyle Rittenhouse a hero. I have to disagree with that. He defended himself, successfully, from violent offenders and that's a good thing. He had every right to do it and the jury agreed. And I support him 100%. But a hero? Why - because he killed two men and maimed another in self-defense? How does that make one a hero?</p><p>I am still of the mindset that a 17 year old kid shouldn't have been allowed to go to a riot situation. Which one of his parents thought that was a good idea? My 17 year old son would not have been there if I had anything to say about it. A minor does not have the right to do whatever he/she wishes. That's a simple fact. That's why they're called minors - they're not old enough, according to the law (or to reasonable, thinking parents), to make all of their own decisions.</p><p>Kyle Rittenhouse is a good kid, a helpful and conscientious kid, who had to shoot three grown men in order to survive. Two of them are dead. It moves my heart every time i see the video of his emotional breakdown as the verdict was read. He has to live with what happened for the rest of his life. I actually admire him for his poise and mature demeanor on the stand. He made the prosecutors look foolish more than once.</p><p>My opinion of his being there in the first place aside - he did what was necessary at the time when he was attacked. He was legally in possession of the gun that saved his life and probably would be dead, at the hands of violent protesters, if he hadn't had it. I'm glad he's alive, well, and free. But I won't call him a hero.</p><p>Again - this is my opinion only. No one has to agree. But I think there are only rare occasions where killing people makes one a hero. We stayed in a 100 year old hotel in Tribeca, just five blocks from the World Trade Center Memorial. We could see the new Freedom Tower from our room.</p>
<p dir="ltr">We got there on September 17th and missed the 9/11 memorial service. But walking through that memorial was humbling and emotional. No one at our hotel was old enough to have been working there that day but I know the hotel would have been engulfed in smoke and dust when the towers fell.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The memorial is simple yet screams volumes. The number of names on those edges is staggering. There were roses scattered about on the walls, no doubt left by people in remembrance of family members and/or friends who perished. There was a large police presence - many armed with M-16s. And it was surprisingly quiet.</p>
<p dir="ltr">For $30 per person you could go up to an observation deck that overlooks the remainder of the Trade Center sight. We decided we didn't want to pay that much to see destruction, opting to just take in the newness built from the rubble. And three years later that's still good enough for me.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I never would have believed it but I loved visiting New York. There was far more to our visit than the memorial but this week I'm thinking of that. May God comfort everyone who lost someone that day, whether in New York, Washington DC, or Shanksville, PA.</p><p dir="ltr"> Many have forgotten. States was attacked by a group of Islamic extremists. They took
nearly 3,000 innocent lives. And yes, “Islamic extremists” is the
correct description. The attacks were carried out in the name of
Allah.<p></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I was in a meeting at work when the
first plane hit. When I got back to my office my secretary told me
about it and I turned on the TV behind my desk. I sat in wonder
watching the North Tower burn and wondering how it was possible that
a commercial airliner went so out of control that it crashed into
the World Trade Center. Then I watched in horror as the second plane
hit the South Tower.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">It was then that I knew we were under
attack. Not long after came the report of a third plane crashing into
the Pentagon and a fourth crashing into a field in Pennsylvania. The
fourth one had been headed toward the White House but was brought
down in the field when passengers revolted and attempted to take back
control of the plane. We know this from narratives of phone calls
made by passengers before the plane crashed.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">We all watched in horror as the towers
collapsed onto themselves, knowing that the chances of anyone
surviving after that were slim. And we cried.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The events of that day were life-changing for many, myself included. That day most Americans sat
around in shock wondering what our future might bring. Would there
be more attacks? How many died? And how could this have possibly
happened? Many of us had difficulty sleeping that night.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">September 12<sup>th</sup> dawned and
America came together as a nation, united in sorrow, anger, and
determination. As Allen Jackson said so eloquently in his song “Where
Were You When The World Stopped Turning?” – they “stood in line
and gave their own blood.” They volunteered to help first
responders search for bodies, living or dead. They donated food and
water to first responders. And they vowed to never forget and never
allow it to happen again.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">How quickly they forgot. It didn't take
more than a year or so before calling Islamic extremists exactly that
became politically incorrect. “All Muslims are not responsible for
what happened,” they said. And they were correct. But every one of
the terrorists who hijacked the planes was Muslim and the attacks
were committed in the name of Islam. That's just fact.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The political correctness got worse.
When President Trump banned travel to the United States from seven
Islamic countries critics called it a “Muslim ban,” even though
it was seven out of 50 countries that are Muslim controlled. Seven.
Hardly a “Muslim ban.” But that's what we were told. And some
still believe it.</p>

considered hate speech. Even if what you say is true. It's just not
acceptable in today's woke society. The Taliban recently showed us
what Muslim extremists can and will do... but many Americans just
don't want to pay attention.</p>

We do need another September 12<sup>th</sup>. We need people to come
together in love for our country and each other, particularly after
the last couple of years. We need to remember how quickly lives can
be taken and how quickly everything can change. September 11, 2001,
taught us that very well. Except years of mostly non-events have
eroded the memories of many. And that is sad.</p>

"My body, my choice." Women have marched in the streets and held rallies wearing vagina costumes to make their points.</p><p>It's all about abortion rights and abortion on demand. Pro choice people believe nothing should interfere with "women's health care." I can agree with that. The part with which I disagree is that ending a human life is simple health care. Once the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall it becomes a unique, new, human life. That's science.</p><p>The State of Texas has been in the news lately because of a new law preventing abortion of a fetus after a heartbeat is detected. The reasoning is that once a heartbeat is detected the fetus is a human life. Somewhat surprisingly, the Supreme Court upheld the law 5 to 4, with Chief Justice John Roberts (not surprisingly) siding with the liberal justices against it.</p><p>I heard yesterday that Attorney General Merrick Garland is going to file suit saying the Texas law "violates woman's Constitutional rights." That should be interesting since as far as I know there is nothing in the Constitution giving women the right to have an abortion. Roe vs Wade was a Supreme Court decision but that doesn't make it a Constitutional right. It makes it a rule of law that can be challenged and/or changed by another ruling, not that I believe that will happen.</p><p>The interesting thing about "my body, my choice" is that many of the same people who scream that phrase about abortion don't feel the same way about mandatory vaccinations and masks. They want to force both on people to "prevent loss of life." And it's absolute hypocrisy. Forcing people to get a foreign substance injected into their bodies on the chance other people may not get sick (we already know it's not fool proof) is nothing but hypocrisy. And for those who believe a viable fetus is not a human life - I feel sorry for you.</p><p>"My body, my choice" only if it concerns something you agree with? Sorry, wrong.</p><p>If "my body, my choice" is going to be your rule it needs to apply all the way around. Want to get vaccinated? Do it. Want to wear a mask? Go for it. But if you believe in "my body, my choice" for yourself then give others that same option without condemnation. fond of saying that the disturbance at the U.S. Capitol building on
January 6<sup>th</sup> was the “worst thing that has happened in
the Capitol since it was burned by the British in 1814. But is that
true?</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The protesters on January 6<sup>th</sup>
broke windows and damaged doors. They entered both the House and
Senate chambers and several offices, including that of Nancy Pelosi.
They fought with police in various areas. One person was killed –
an unarmed woman shot by a Capitol Police officer.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The incident was tragic but was it the
worst since 1814?</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">On March 1, 1954, four members of the
Puerto Rican Nationalist Party entered the House chamber with
handguns. They unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and opened fire
indiscriminately, wounding five members of Congress.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">On November 7, 1983, a bomb tore
through the second floor of the House North wing. It was planted by
members of a group called the “Armed Resistance Unit,” who called
the switchboard minutes before the blast to warn people. It did
significant damage to the building.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">On March 1, 1971, the Weather
Underground planted a bomb in a men's room directly below the Senate
chamber. The bomb destroyed the restroom and caused the doors of the
Senate barbershop to disconnect from the frame and fly through a window into a
courtyard.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">On July 24, 1998, a visitor to the
Capitol building set off a metal detector. He immediately pulled out
a gun and killed the officer on duty at the metal detector, then
wounded a second officer and a civilian. He then made his way to an office used by Congressman Tom Delay where he shot and killed a
Capitol Police detective.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">In my opinion, vandalism and
trespassing are not quite as serious as the murders of two Capitol
Police, nor the shooting of five House members in the chamber. The
January protesters did not kill anyone. Some officers were injured
during the melee but the only person killed was killed at the hands
of police. (And that still has yet to be explained.)</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The protest that day wasn't worse than
bombs going off inside the building, in my opinion. Bombs do more
damage than breaking windows and damaging doors.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">People say “It was insurrection, an
assault on our democracy.” But it wasn't. It was a “mostly
peaceful” protest in which some people got carried away.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I read an article this morning in which
a history professor said the reason the January incident was worse is
because “it was done by a large group.” Personally, I'd rather
have a large group vandalizing things than one or two people with
guns killing and wounding people, or people blowing things up. He said because of what occurred that day we "did not have a peaceful transfer of power" and said "the goal of the insurrectionists was to overthrow the government." Benny Thompson doesn't believe either of those things because he knows they're untrue. Yet he stated them as fact. He set the tone for the farce that is this committee.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Next, Liz Cheney, a "Pelosi Republican," spent a few minutes trying to justify why she is serving Nancy Pelosi, calling herself a "conservative Republican." She's no more conservative than Mitt Romney.</p>
<p dir="ltr">This committee consists of Democrats and Trump haters, period. They want to prove to the world not that angry Americans acted out in a vile and disgusting manner out of frustration but that Donald Trump somehow ordered the attack and that all Trump supporters are the enemy.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Listening to the police officers testify reveals they were obviously hand selected by the committee. I support law enforcement 99.9% of the time but these four officers are using the same words and phrases... "insurrectionists, terrorists, assault on our democracy...." - the same words used by the committee chairman. Spontaneous witnesses do not echo the chairman (or a prosecutor) unless they've been coached. Funny thing is... of the just over 500 people arrested and charged for the incident none have been charged with insurrection, terrorism or treason.</p>
<p dir="ltr">At least two of them said the incident on January 6th was the worst thing they'd ever experienced. The first witness, introduced and praised for his service in Iraq, said the Capitol riot "was worse than anything I saw in Iraq." With all due respect to his service as a soldier and a police officer, if that's true he saw no real action in Iraq. Al Qaeda had guns, rockets, mortars and vehicles of war and their mission was to kill Americans. Comparing that to a riot is ridiculous, unless you have no combat experience. I know. I've been in the middle of a full blown riot. I never once considered it to be like a military combat zone.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The black officer said he and other black officers were attacked because of their skin color yet offered no evidence except that there were Confederate flags being waved by some protesters.</p>
<p dir="ltr">One said Trump caused the riot because of his ego. Another said there were white supremacists in the crowd and that "people who follow Donald Trump are more likely to belong to those groups." Another mentioned "the MAGA people" and said he compared the incident to someone hiring a hit man. He wants the perpetrators punished as well as "the person who hired them." No bias there, huh?</p><p dir="ltr">I keep hearing the officers and politicians talking about "defending our democracy." That's not what happened. They quelled a riot. Anyone who believes that 800 to 1000 citizens armed with sticks, bats, bear spray, etc., could somehow overthrow our government is a fool.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Chairman Thompson asked one witness about heroic actions he saw that day. That's all well and good but what has it to do with finding the cause of the incident?</p>
<p dir="ltr">There are several things this committee will not reveal during this hearing. They will not talk about or show the video of the Capitol Police moving barricades and opening doors, inviting the protesters in. They will not allow questions about the FBI informing senior Capitol Police officials three weeks in advance that there was a very real possibility the Capitol would be attacked that day and why they did not prepare for it. (One officer said they didn't know there was going to be a riot. That doesn't mean his bosses didn't know.)</p>
<p dir="ltr">They will not allow questions to be asked about what Nancy Pelosi knew about the pending incident. These are the reasons Pelosi refused to allow Republicans Jim Jordon and Jim Banks to serve on the committee. She knew those questions would be asked. And if the two "Republicans" were interested in truth they would ask those questions anyway.</p>
<p dir="ltr">And they will not reveal a valid reason for the killing of Ashli Babbitt. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Next I watched the other Pelosi Republican first getting all teary eyed then trying to say there were probably guns being carried by the rioters even though there is absolutely no evidence to support his claim.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I won't even talk about Adam "Russia Collusion" Schiff. He's not worth my time... although watching him choke up (real or not) was amusing.</p>
<p dir="ltr">So far the committee, through testimonies and videos, have established there was a violent incident in the Capitol that day. Gee... we needed this committee to establish that?</p>
<p dir="ltr">I'm not going to watch anymore of the Trump hating committee hearings. The committee's findings will be whatever Speaker Pelosi dictates. The entire thing is just one more stunt by Trump haters, just like the impeachment trials. They actually asked people to go online and publicly sign a pledge that they would do this. No, really.<br />

DJN told these wealthy white citizens that they may not know it but they made their money by oppressing people of color and it's time to right the wrongs of inequity. They also told them if they don't have pre-college age kids they should pressure their friends and neighbors to keep their kids out of top-ranked schools. It's bold - I give them that.<br />

Apparently Dallas Justice NOW believes people of color cannot get into these schools on their own merit if they are competing against white kids. That is racism. Believing one group of people is inferior to another because of skin color and/or ethnicity is the very definition of racism. <br />

The Dallas Democrat Party is soliciting donations of supplies and/or money to send to the Texas Democrats who fled the state so they wouldn't have to do their jobs. These deserters are asking for "Dr. Pepper, salsa, hard candy, hairspray, travel toiletries, hand sanitizers, sewing kits, and first aid kits" and the Dallas Democrats are asking these things be donated or that people donate cash to pay shipping.<br />

I've been to Washington D.C. at least six times and I can say with certainty that every one of the things on the list can be purchased in grocery stores, CVS and Walgreens. And these rogue "freedom fighters" (pronounced "cowards") are still collecting their paychecks and $221 a day in per diem while they're on their little vacation. Seems to me that $1000 a week should be enough to buy Dr. Pepper and salsa. Oh, maybe not. I guess it depends in which hotel they chose to stay. And of course, the cost of the charter flight.<br />

What is little known is that Texas representatives make only $600 a month in salary plus their per diem and only while they are in session. That's because being a state representative is a part time job. Unless a special session is called representatives work only 140 days during their two year terms. Most, if not all have full time jobs from which they take leaves of absence to attend to state business.<br />

If there are Texas Democrats in D.C. who are truly running out of money perhaps they didn't think things through well enough.<br />

There are some labels that apply to leftists as well. In my lifetime I have watched them go from fairly reasonable to progressive socialists. Some are even communists. And they're fanatics... climate change fanatics, abortion fanatics, anti-gun fanatics, race fanatics... the list is long.<br />

There is actually a word for their gun hatred. Hoptlophobia - a morbid fear of guns. Many leftists can be labeled hoptophobes. They have a completely irrational hatred of guns, based solely on the appearance of the gun, without knowing anything about them. They call certain guns "assault weapons" and "weapons of war" because they think they look scary.<br />
<br />
Democrat politicians think accessories like a front hand grip, a barrel shroud or the size of a magazine make a gun more dangerous. That's absurd. But they actually put those things in a gun control bill. Thankfully the bill went nowhere.<br />

There is no label for people who label others. The best label I can come up with is liberal progressive. Take a real close look at those people who are throwing around derogatory labels.
